English class the next morning included Mr. Edmore yelling, and frantic scramble on the partner projects. The work load had been almost doubled, as he decided that yesterday he was not hard enough on his students.
Daniel barely noticed any of it though, because Jenny and him were sitting across from each other, at her desk, and half-assed-ly attempting their work. But were more so watching partners argue and fight.
"Would you mind meeting at lunch?" She asked suddenly, breaking the silence between them, but her words were lost somewhere in the room.
"Huh?" He asked, unsure of what exactly she was proposing.
"For the project, would you mind meeting at lunch to work on it?"
He shook his head, " 'Course not."
She smiled, "Okay," Because quite honestly, they were accomplishing close to nothing, and though neither would admit it, they were both hoping to see each other again.

"Hey," she smiled, laughing a little, as she walked up on Daniel, who was standing in the middle of the hallway, juggling an apple and a banana.
He grinned upon notice of her, and once she was close enough he stopped and placed both his hands in front of her, "First pick for the lady."
She giggled slightly, covering her mouth with her hand. Her eyes rose to meet Daniels', and he couldn't help but note just how crystalline hers were. He internally shook himself off, and she grabbed the apple from his left hand.
"Thank you," another laugh slipped from her lips, and Daniel wondered if she was always laughing, or maybe it was something to do with himself.
He nodded, "So."
Her gaze travelled to the coral colored binder held tight in her hands, and his did as well. "So here's the official assignment sheet." She said, pulling it out and handing it to him. "I know you have one already, but i figure we make a plan and follow that. I have some random notes too."
He was a bit blown away by how prepared and ready she was for all this, but he tried his best to hide the feeling. He nodded, and turned his eyes to where the wall met the floor. "Shall we?" He smiled, hand gesturing to the floor, looking back at her.
She laughed softly, "You know there are benches, right?" But began to sit regardless.
"Yes, but it's so much more interesting down here," he grinned, and sat down next to her.
She rolled her eyes, "Whatever you say."

"Damn it," she muttered, brushing a strand of hair from her eyes, as soon as the bell had rung.
Daniel frowned down at his paper, furiously adding a few words. She placed her papers in the binder, sighing, but turned to look at Daniel, and was soon chuckling.
"It's okay, we can work on it later today." She smiled softly, lips pursed, holding back another laugh. He shook his head, and handed her the papers from his lap.
"I'll meet you outside the English room after last period, how 'bout that?" She asked, beginning to sit up, her binder to her chest.
"Deal," he said, standing up as well.
"I have to stop by my locker, and it's a floor up, otherwise I'd stay and chat," she smiled, before walking a couple steps backward.
"Sounds good. See you later." He said, about to head towards his, himself.
