Fun at the Fair

Lucas's POV

For the past few weeks i can't get Maya Hart out of my head. I am starting to like her as much more than a friend. I wonder if she likes me. Although that would be kinda awkward considering the fact i used to date her best friend, Riley. But Riley and i broke up because we realize we were better as friends than boyfriend and girlfriend.

"Huckleberry what time is it?" Maya asked while we walked to the Fair.

"12:25pm" i replied.

30 Minutes Later (Still Lucas's POV)

"Huckleberry let's go to the petting zoo" Maya said pointing to the The tent that says Petting Zoo.

"Okay" I said as we both ran toward the tent.

Once we got to the tent there was a guy was handing out posters to a Father Daughter Dance. Maya grabbed the poster and looked at it like she was sad but angry at the same time. I don't know what happened between her and her dad but it must have been bad. Whenever i mention something that could make Maya think about her dad Maya gives a look like she is in a flashback and Riley looks at me like she is going to kill me if i say anything like that again. Riley is not a violent person but when it comes to Maya she will be the scariest person i have ever met.

"Come on" Maya said crumbling the piece of paper and dropping it on the ground and walking into the tent.

"Hey look a goat and a horse. This must make you think of Texas. Cowboy" Maya said as she stared at the animals.

"Whatever. Lets just pet the Animals. I mean this is a petting zoo" i said walking towards the goat.

"Okay." Maya said as she started petting the goat.

Soon i started petting the goat too. Then our hand touch. We both pulled away but i don't know i just like it.

"Well. The goat is cute." Maya said looking at the goat.

Then the goat spit on me. I had goat spit all over my face.

"Now the goat is adorable!!" Maya yelled while laughing hysterically.

"Haha..Very funny." I said.

"Fine lets get you to the nearest bathroom. Come on Cowboy" Maya said grabbing me by the arm.

After i cleaned up Maya thought the fair was getting to filled with "Annoying and loud kids".

"So it's already 1:00pm why don't we just go to Topanga's and have my mom get us some cake to split." Maya said staring at her flip phone. 

"Okay great" I said while walking out of the fair.

Later that day

Maya's POV

Today wasn't as bad as i thought i would be. That moment when the goat spit at Lucas was hilarious. Maybe this summer won't be that bad as long as me and Lucas just stay friends nobody will get hurt.

i grab my phone and call Riley. 

"Hey Riles"

"Hey Peaches!! How have things been?"

"Riley its only been a couple of hours..."

"Fine. How have the past few hours been?"

"Pretty good. Lucas and i went to the fair for a hour and a half. A goat spit at Lucas. So that was fun."

"Well Grandma Amy made Auggie and me cookies and Grandpa Alan taught me and Auggie how to fish..Umm Maya this may sound strange but.."

"What?'

"Do you like Lucas?"

"What no!" i lied

"Maya i see the way you look at him."

"Looks can't tell feelings"

"Maya, listen i'm fine if you like Lucas"

"Really?"

"Yeah. Lucas and I weren't meant to be a couple. He is more of my brother than a boyfriend. You feel what you need to feel. Plus i like another guy.."

"Charlie?"

"No..I just.."

"What Riles you can tell me"

"Charlie is a great guy. I'm sure he would make another girl really happy but.. i like..Farkle"

"You like Farkle"

"Yes. He is sweet and cute and i just like everything about him."

"How are you going to tell Farkle?"

"After summer i hoping i can tell Farkle"

"Well its getting late. I better go to bed."

"Okay. Good Luck with Lucas. Goodnight Peaches"

"Goodnight"

I hanged up the phone and went straight to sleep
