After Carly got home, she went to the bathroom to clean up before she left again. If she was lucky they wouldn't have to fight anyone or anything tonight. Blood was hard to come off clothes. But even if they did run into trouble, Carly always walked into a fight prepared. She always had her knife tucked into her boot at all times and she usually brought a gun with rock salt in it just in case of ghost. For demons, you couldn't kill them. You either sprayed them with holy water to slow them down or you exorcise them, sometimes you would save the vessels but other times the person who was once inside, was long gone. Demons were a hard case and hard to put down. Another reason to hate them, Carly thought.
finishing up in the bathroom, Carly decided to go and check the address of Brandon's house on her phone. She after all needed to meet everyone there it might be a good idea to know where it's to. A few minutes later Carly found his address. He lived downtown and of course it was the bad part of downtown. She guessed Brandon fit right in.
After a few hours of waiting and getting prepared, it was finally time to meet at Brandon's. Checking once more to make sure she had everything, Carly walked out the motel door and drove downtown to Brandon's house.
20 minutes later, Carly arrived at Brandon's. His house was not what Carly suspected , it was a small one story tan house. Carly guessed he didn't need a very big house since he was probably always out with his gang and it was only him living there. Brandon and Jake were stood up by the front door talking about who knows what but there was no sign of Hayley.
Carly stepped out of her car and walked over to the boys.
"Hey" she greeted "Hayley not here yet?"
"Nope" Brandon answered "She said she was going to be running a few minutes late."
For a second Carly's mind went to Hayley and a hooded figure beside a old house. Carly wondered if that meeting was why she was running late but she never opened her mouth about it just in case. Brandon was after all in her rival gang, she didn't want to start anything. So they waited in silences until they heard a motorcycle come down the road. Hayley pulled into the drive way, took off her helmet and walked over to the group.
"Bout time you came." Jake said "We thought you were going to abandon us."
"I was busy!" Hayley snapped. " I'm one of the leaders in a gang you know it, i got better things to do than run around with you lot!"
Whoa, something crawled up her ass and died, Carly thought.
Carly spoke before a up roar could start.
"well lets all pile in my car and we can drive to the warehouse."
"yeah.." Jake said giving Hayley a odd look. "Lets get this done and over with."
So with that , they all piled into Carly's car. Jake was in the front seat and, oh lord, Hayley and Brandon were in back. This should be fun.
After a what seemed like a 6 hour car ride full of yelling and complaining, they had finally arrived at the old warehouse. After parking the car out of sight. The group walked up to the ware house door slowly , making sure no one was around. Carly looked up at the warehouse, it had a small metal door at the right side and it had two big broken windows out front, the walls looked old and rotten. Just when the quiet night couldn't get any more spooky, the warehouse made it ten times worst. Even though Carly had done this a thousand times, she still got a bit nervous at the start before the action started. She prayed there would be no action for the sake of her friends who weren't hunters.
Brandon tried the door, it wouldn't open. He pushed against it , it still wouldn't give in. After the fifth attempt of trying to open the door, Brandon stepped away from it.
"That.. door.. is..suck" he said in between breaths.
Carly give him a look and walked over to the door and with the first try she got it opened. Everyone looked at Brandon.
"How you do that." Brandon said
"It was a pull door, Brandon" Carly said not impressed "you were pushing on it."
Hayley rolled her eyes and Jake held back a laugh. Brandon sighed and they all followed Carly inside.
Inside was very dark. Carly felt around for a light switch but she couldn't find one in the end. It sure was a good thing she came prepared. She pulled out a flashlight and she was glad the others came prepared too because when Carly turned around they each had a flashlight out.
"Good." Carly said in a breath "I suppose you all brought a weapon too, right?"
They each pulled out a hand gun. Carly turned back around and rolled her eyes then she turned back again to face them.
"Here" she said taking a few bottles of holy water out of her backpack. "Take these, those guns won't be much use if we run into a demon."
"will...will it kill them?" Asked Brandon nervously.
"No.. but it will give you time to throw a punch and run." Carly said trying to be supportive "It burns them."
Brandon nodded his head and started to look around, following his lead everyone started to look around also.
About a few minutes later, Brandon sung out and shone his light on the demonic sign on the wall.
"you're right Brandon." Carly said staring at the symbol "That is the same one on the bodies."
"Great job." Hayley sarcastically. "Can we go now, there is nothing here."
"No i want to search every inch of this place, you never know."
Hayley rolled her eyes and everyone got back to searching. 20 minutes later Carly was about to give up hope when she stepped on a floor board and it came loose. Putting down her flashlight beside her,Carly knelled down and lifted up the floor board. Carly gasped, there was a old red book under it and on the cover of it was the demonic symbol she kept seeing on the bodies.
Carly lifted up the book and placed the floor board back in place. Grabbing her flashlight, she stood up and yelled to the others.
"Guys i found something!"
Everyone came rushing over and looked at what Carly had in her hands. Brandon and Jake gave it a confused look and Hayley looked shocked.
"It's a book." Hayley said slowly "A bad looking one, maybe we should put it back."
Now it was Carly turn to put on a shocked face.
"What! are you crazy!" Carly said "This could be our chance to know what the demons are up to!"
Brandon and Jake nodded but Carly knew that them finding something was there ticket out of this hell hole so they just agreed.
"NOT A CHANCE NOW PUT IT BACK NOW BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS!" Hayley yelled a little to loudly.
Before Carly could tell her to quiet down, There was a bang and then another one and then the door was on the floor. Three men came crashing in, looked at them and smiled a evil smile. Brandon and Jake turned pale, not because of the surprise, Carly was sure they were used to that but what made Carly's heart drop, what made the boys pale, and made Hayley look shocked, was not the people but what they were. The three men had cold black eyes. Demons, they were demons and a lot of them too. With one hunter, three demons, and three adults who had no idea how to fight the supernatural, they were out numbered. They were screwed.
All Carly could say was "Crap"
