Aphmau's POV

"Stay here boy. Ill be back." I gave a kiss on Spade's snout and walked up the stairs with Laurence.

Two gaurd dipped their heads and opened the two large doors revealing marble flooring that lead up to a golden throne. "Yep. Defiantly high and mighty prick." My heels made light clicking noises as I walked through the small crowd of Lords and Head Guards. I finally laid my eyes on a man with blond hair and bright blue eyes. As I walked toward him, his eyes averted to me. His pupils widened as he turned his body my direction and took a step forward. I gave a warming smile and pulled out a hand. He hesitated for a second but soon took it in his.

"Aphmau, Lord of Phoenix Drop." I continued to hold onto his hand as he introduced himself.

"Garroth... Prince of... well... here. Haha." He chuckled, pocketing his hands.

"Y-you're the Prince of Okasis?" I froze as Laurence nudged me.

"Yes. This is my coordination party." He smirked.

"I see." I let my arms fall to my side, as a serious stare grew on my face. "My mistake."

"Mistake...? What mistake?" His face was plastered with confusion.

"Yes. I made the mistake of taking you as the king of a... friendly... village. As you know of our past. We aren't very... compatable, to say the least... Oh! Lady scaleswind! One moment, ill be over there in a second!" I turn to Garroth for a second. "Well. It was... interesting... meeting you, Prince Garroth. Goodday." I said, dipping my head and walking away with Laurence.

"Lord Aph-..." We all looked up to see the high priest.

"Welcome! Will everyone follow me to the coordination room! Prince Garroth will now be deemed Lord!" We all smiled and walked into the room. I could see the two seats in the front row occupied for me and Laurence. As we suffered through the hour a crown was placed on his head and the crowd burst into applaus. Me and Laurence glanced at each other and nodded. We stood up and walked toward the double doors, leading outside.

"Lord Aphmau!" We turned around to see Garroth... running?... Toward us.

"Lord Garroth..?" I turned around.

"Where are you headed off to so early?" He smiled.

"Well. Me and Laurence are going to rent an Inn in town. So in the morning we can head back to Phoenix Drop." I smiled, innocently.

"Well. Why not hang around for a bit?" His smile drooped a bit.

"*sigh* Listen Lord Garroth. No offense to your village... But we have been enemies for as long as I have been lord. I don't like your village and your's mine. Now im not planning on making allies with this village because of the supplies you stole DAILY from it when I wasn't lord. The only reason I came today was to show my respects to your father. Although I hate him with a burning passion, I still will not disrespect the dead. Goodday Lord Garroth." I dipped my head and walked out the doors.

We continued to walk out the doors and down the stairs. Spade stood in the same spot I left him. A warming smile spread on my face as he neighed in my direction.

"Lord Aphmau!!! Wait!!!" Garroth's voice shot through the air.

"Looks like we're not staying in an Inn tonight Laurence." I mummbled so only he could hear me.

He chuckled and I quickly whistled, as did Laurence. Both of our horses came running up to us. We quickly mounted our horses as I looked back to see Garroth a few feet away. I guess Spade saw too. He quickly reared back, causing Garroth to fall back. That's gotta hurt. I slowly walked Spade next to Garroth and held out my hand. He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Unless you wanna look like a dumbass I suggest you take my hand." I huffed.

He blinked and took my hand. I pulled him up to his feet.

"Now. We will be on our way. Goodbye Lord Garroth." I kicked Spade to start running.

Spade took off into a sprint, running to dodge villagers and leaping over them. Laurence was close behind. We ran through the gates and continued to run down the path toward Phoenix Drop. We stopped halfway to set up camp. After setting up the tents, Laurence hit the hay. I crossed the road to the river where I was going to fill my bottle. I heard a low growl from behind me. I slowly turned around to see a large wolf baring its teeth into a snarl. I reached for my sword... where's my sword.... WHERE'S MY SWORD!? My belt was empty. I gulped slowly backing up. Every step it took forward was another second of my life coming to an end. I felt tears welding in my eyes. Its back legs flexed, leaping at me. All I could do was fall back, covering my head with my arms. I heard a faint whimper, then silence. I slowly move my arms, opening my watery and clenched eyes. A hand was out in front of me. A bloody pool was surrounding the limp wolf. I gently took the hand. A simple tug on my arm and I was standing again. I wrapped my arms around... who ever it was.... none the less, they saved my life. I felt strong arms wrap around my waist. I hugged the person tightly, soon after letting go.

"Thank you so mu----- L-LORD G-GARROTH?!"
