It's night. I didn't have the guts to ask Mutsuki why I couldn't go out at night. Agh, I should've asked him!!
I get up from my bed slowly, making sure I don't see doctor watching like yesterday.
I then slowly crept to the door and carefully unlocked the doorknob. Feared and shaking, I slowly twist the door open, making sure no sounds are made. I then quickly and carefully step out of the den.
Suddenly, I feel heavy on my shoulders and exhausted.

I don't know why, but I feel very tired. But I shook my head and tiptoed to Mutsuki's room. I stopped at the door, wondering if I should knock or not. I slowly reach my hand out, but then stop, sighing.

"Maybe not today..." I mumble to myself.

As I quickly make my way to back into my room, only to stop once I heard a loud bang coming from downstairs. My eyes widened. "D-Doctor?" I said lowly, turning around to the stairs.

Doctor was the only one that sleeps on the first floor since there's one a bathroom and a locked door that led to the basement. Doctor said the basement was locked away from me just so that I wouldn't have to face "reality". I overheard once when Doctor and Mutsuki were talking.

There was no answer. Well, of course...everyone is asleep, right? I then spoke again. "Is someone there??" I asked. There could be a possibility that someone had broke in the cabin. I mean, we may be living in the far country side, but who knows.

I then slowly started my way down. There was another sound-Something hollow and made of metal being dropped onto the concrete ground. Could it be...coming from the basement? I peeked my head at the basement door, only to see nothing. But then there were voices.

Scared, yet curious, I headed to the door, making sure I have safely past Doctor's room. I took a deep breath, looking at the door knob. My eyes widened slightly. Where's the lock? There's always a lock here..! I checked the ground, thinking that maybe it had just broke off. But I couldn't find it when it was pitch black.

Never mind the lock, who's down in the basement?? I open the door, hearing a small screeching sound at the edge of door. I then walk in, stepping on the first step that was leading to the deep, deep stairs.

I swallowed my saliva and furrowed my brows. "Let the dark guide you, Ken..."
