"I just remembered something, Ms. Shizuka." I asked.
"Yes?" She answered, yawning.
I glanced quickly at the time-12:00. "There was nothing concerning a Shizuka Nagachika."
"Oh-that?" She sighed. "I was only kidding about that."
I sighed. "No wonder. And something else-."
"Hm?" She looked at me, as I drove a turn.
"Do you have a...sibling by chance? Or, like a relative by blood?" I asked.
I narrowed my eyes at her. She was looking back at the window with a disappointed and distant face.
Confused, I ask again. "So?"
"No comment." Shizuka answered, yawning again.
"Huh??" I furrowed my brows.
"No comment..! You can't make me get it out of me." She said.
I smirked. "Or can I?"
"What? No you can't."
"Are you ticklish?"
"Of course not."
"Then can you be seduced easily?"
"No comment." She suddenly replied.
I chuckled. "Wow. I'm not surprised."
"What? You don't even remember me, that's impossible."
"That's true. But, a thing I do know is that I shouldn't be surprised about you."
"There's more left to go though." She sarcastically said.
"What?" I asked, still smirking. We arrived at the lot, me parking my car. "My memories of you? Or trying to figure out the rest of the body of Shizuka's, that I could've found ages ago??" I took my keys out, placing it in my pockets, turning to her.
Our eyes met, and my eyes widened a little. She was blushing slightly. She quickly coughed. "It's not what you think it is." She muttered.
I smirked. "Then-tell me, sibling or no?"
"No comment." She said again, looking away from me.
"... Okay. I guess I'll try method 2..!"
"What?" She turned back to me. "Like tickling? You know it's not going to-."
We both had already taken off our seat belts-so I went over her, placing my lips onto hers. Her eyes widened, surprised in my sudden attack.
I grabbed her wrists, pushing her down on the seat. I then pulled away from the kiss.
Our eyes met again-but she wasn't impressed. Annoyed, she pushes me off.
"No." She said.
I sighed. "You know," I sat back to my seat. "I like you."
I was staring straight in the darkness, a car in front of us.
"... I know."
"You hate me, don't you?"
"... No."
"... I don't trust you..."
"I trust you though-most if the times." She sighed.
"Hm." I replied.
"... I don't hate you, but like you. But I don't like you the way you like me, Sakki." She suddenly said.
I glanced back at her-she was blushing a little.
I smiled. "I see."
Suddenly, a slight pain hit through my head-as if a bullet was shot through it. I grunted, grabbing my head quickly.
"Sakki? What's wrong??" Shizuka said, grabbing my shoulders. "Are you hurt?!"
I reach out my hands to her, her hands intertwining with mine.
That's when another memory had came.
...
"Ah-You're hands are bigger than I thought." She smiled.
I blush, nodding. "Do they seem small..?"
"Well, you always look so perfect. So, it looks like you have small hands-but I guess I was wrong." She then suddenly inter winded her hands into mine.
I went red. "Uh-Shizuka..!"
"Yes?"
"Y-You're hands!"
"Oh-shy aren't you? Sorry." She chuckled, pulling her hands away. "Anyways, I'd like to tell you something."
"Oh, um. Yea?" I replied.
"Don't you...feel like we are closer?" She asked, our eyes locking together.
I blushed. "Um-I don't know..."
She sighed. "I thought you'd say that. So-have any questions so that you think we are closer??"
Closer? Like...who she likes? Ugh-but what if it's someone else? It's not like I'm hoping to be me...but...
"Um, who do you like..?"
"Oh? That's very...unexpected." She said, blushing.
Eh? She's blushing? That's...not...what I expected either.
"I trust you, Kaneki-Kun." She turned back to me, our eyes meeting finally.
I nod. "And...I trust you."
She scoots closer to me and leans in. "... Promise?"
I nod. "Promise."
She then whispers, "Hideyoshi."
...
"Are sure I shouldn't be worrying about you..?" She questioned.
I nod, looking down. "I'm fine. Anyways-a ghoul shouldn't worrying about me."
She sighs, tapping the window. I look up at her. Our eyes met, and she blushes slightly. "But I'm that one ghoul that does. And hey-I'm half, so don't categorize me with those things." She clears her throat.
Oh. That's right... She's a half ghoul. How did I ever forget about that most important detail??
I get up from my chair. "Sorry-anyways, I got to get going."
Shizuka nods. "Thank you for the dress."
Oh, right. I got a dress for her. I smiled, our eyes meeting. "No problem."
...
It wasn't that I didn't want to say anything-or was to scared to. I...just didn't understand. Who exactly is Shizuka? What happened? Why is she like this now? But most importantly-who is that lady I saw at RE:...that looked exactly just like her..??
...
Ah... I see. It was Hide all along. Surprised, shocked, and shattered. My heart...aches.
She clears her throat. "Y-You?"
Oh...me, huh? I wonder now-if I tell her now. Nothing will happen though-besides from being ignored. Or...
"You." I muttered.
Me...
"Eh?"
Ignoring...
"I like you," I stated. "Shizuka."
Her.
"Huh?"
"Oh, but never mind that. You like Hide. So, I guess I'll have to help you-and stop liking you."
"K-Kaneki, I'm so sor-."
"It's okay, Shizuka... I...knew after all."
"What?"
"The look you always had for him-one that I'll never have... I'll go now." I turn around, leaving her.
"Kaneki!"
...
We never talked to each other again-or in other words, we never crossed paths ever since. Or should I say again, I ignored her. It was a will that I did, one that I couldn't stop. Just like any third wheeler would feel. Haha...
"Kaneki..." Hide said.
"Yes?" I replied, turning back to him.
Wind was felt, rushing through the small hill we both were sitting on.
He wasn't facing me-but the sky. "...did something happen between you two?"
"Hm? Two of us??" I asked, confused.
"..." He looked down at me, our eyes meeting. "Shizuka and you."
"Shizu-..." I quickly looked back down the hill. "Nothing's wrong."
I then started to gently scratch my chin. "Does it seem like something happened between us?"
There was no reply for a minute. I looked back at him. My eyes widened. He was looking at the sky again-face full of pain.
I furrowed my brows. "H-Hide?"
He looked at me, our eyes meeting and locking onto one onto each other.
"Kaneki...it's fine if you feel like you need to ignore Shizuka-but don't lie to me...please."
...
"Oh-! It seems that she failed at keeping him..." I looked throughout the room. Everything was broken down. There's no blood-but...
I grinned. "...but there's a beautiful message."
On the ground was a coffee puddle-and blood.
Why not try it since I'm here?
"Thanks for the meal, Shizuka."
