A pale hand groped at the window, somehow unlocking it from the outside. Yuuki's body was pressed against the rough bark of a tree.
"How infuriating..." She muttered, feeling some of her former personality trickle back into her. She tugged at the window latch, creakily opening it and then hopping in. Quickly brushing off any invisible stray leaves, she hurried towards Yuki's room.
It would be rather troublesome if that damned pure-blood came to me now... She thought.
I'd need an alibi for now. Opening the door, Yuki's roommate and best-friend Sayori Wakaba was still asleep, making it extremely easy for Yuuki to change clothes and slip into bed.
I'll have to plan Kuran's demise later... As I recall, a normal human has to attend school...
The next day, Yuuki woke up early. She dressed in her uniform and sat on her bed.
Now, I suppose I have to drain someone's energy... That girl will do... Yuki stood up, running her fingers across the nape of Sayori's neck. She pressed gently, sucking enough energy for her to use. Enough that it didn't kill her that is.
"Wake up... Yori..." The nickname seemed foreign on Yuuki's tounge, but the girl stirred anyways.
"Morning Yuki... You're already up?"
I wouldn't be awake if I wasn't. She almost said, but composed herself at the last second.
"It's time for breakfast." After breakfast, Yuuki and Sayori walked together to their class, a grudging Zero walked up to them.
"Morning Zero!" Yuuki smiled with a fake cheery voice, Zero grunted a reply.
"Morn-" Sayori started before collapsing to the ground, falling on a wobbly Zero, both of them falling unconscious in a matter of seconds. Yuuki grumbled a little, hoisting them both up simultaneously and mentally locating the infirmary. Teleporting was a rather difficult task with two unconscious non-magical people. You had to perfectly rearrange the atoms on one side to be able to have all your body parts intact. One wrong move, and you could be scattered all over the globe. However, this was a feat that Yuuki accomplished with utmost ease, surprising for a newly released body.
For Sayori, I might have drained too much energy... She murmured, twisting her 'friend's short hair into smooth knots.
Zero... probably side-effects from that spell I used on him... Yuuki sighed deeply.
Well, it is my fault... She growled, mentally beating herself up for having to use another spell for something so pathetic, she almost wished that she hadn't been released.
Llaf mohw esoht ni gnidiser live eht tuo hsulf, llac ym raeh, retaw wolf. Yuuki commanded towards the sleeping pair, but due to her not being well-rested enough to command such a spell, her power swelled in size. Faucets burst open, water from taps, sinks, toilets, even bottled water rushed in a great heaping mass towards the infirmary. It hit all three like a hammer to an unboiled egg, not that boiling it would make much of a difference. But, once the water subsided and practically drowned the room, Zero and Sayori woke in a haze.
"What happened? And why are we wet?" Sayori exclaimed in the most cliche way possible, Zero on the other hand, just grunted. A certain pureblooded vampire stood at the door, rendering Yuuki slightly paralysed.
"Kaname..." She breathed, "What are you doing-"
"I saw the commotion. What happened?" Yuuki froze internally, but her outer appearance and her countless years of training kicked in, keeping up her facade of 'Yuki Cross'.
"I-I-I don't know." She stuttered fakely, he nodded at her before pulling her into the corridor.
"Yuki, what were you doing in my room last night." His voice lost all comfort, menacing and seriousness took over.
"Well..."
"Be honest with me Yuki." She left a growl and a seed of bloodlust back in her throat as she cutely 'explained' her situation.
"Well... I wanted to visit you-"
"Did you see a mirror in my room?"
"No." Kaname sighed, but in that time, Yuuki was already formulating a devious little plan in her mind.
He's too trusting... She smiled.
He's gone soft because of this little girl... What a wondrous discovery.
"Were you bleeding?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I'm... having... one of those days..."
"Really?" She knew that being the creep he was, he'd sniff her so she willed a small pocket of moisture to harden beneath her skirt and cut her thigh. He, being the predictable one, sniffed discreetly, before approving of her statement and slowly reached his arm out and petted her head.
"Let me know if you see this mirror okay?" He murmured, sliding a piece of paper into her hands and slithering off.
Yuuki let a heavily restrained smile break out when he was out of range.
This little piece of information, would be the start of Kaname Kuran's demise.
