Day 3
"Batgirl?" I say, as soon as the sun rises. I know for a fact that is bats are the only ones that get up at six everyday to work-out. I find Babs doing laps in the pool, holding we her breath for as long as she can. "Batgirl, we have to talk."
"No kidding." Babs says seriously.
"What happened with Zatanna-"
"Happened one too many times." Babs hisses.
"Batgirl. Please. Babs..."
"You've lost the right to call me that, NightWing." She replies.
"Barbara, will you please just hear me out?" I plead.
"Two minutes."
"I couldn't help kissing Zatanna. I know that was a jerk move. Ok? And I'm sorry! I can't do more than that." I say quickly. Zatanna comes out of her cabin, rubbing her eyes.
"Hey Dick, wanna continue what we did last night?" She asks, not seeing Babs. I feel like disappearing into the floor just then.
"What," Babs growls, "In Bat's name is she talking about? And how does she know your name?"
"Batgirl I-"
"BG, want to-WHAT THE HELL ARE DOING OUT HERE?" Linda, er, Supergirl yells, waking up the entire camp. "Batgirl, c'mon. Don't waste another breath on him! He's broken my best friend's heart too many times!" Supergirl grabs Babs and pulls her into the sky, before zipping off at top speed. I fall to the ground. What have I done?Babs's POV
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Shopping. In my experience, sometimes you have to show boys what they're missing, for them to appreciate you." Linda says, dropping me down outside the Gotham Shopping Mall, quickly changing into civilian clothes.
"And what credit card shall we use, Kara?" I ask, switching back to her real name.
"Mine. Or rather, Kal's." She says. "Now follow me!" She instructs, herding me into a hair salon.
"How may I held you?" The receptionist asks.
"I want the full package with your finest stylist for this young woman!" She commands, scanning her card. Before I know it, Kara is talking with the stylist about colour, length, texture and words that don't even appear in my vocabulary.
In less than an hour, my hair is curled back, and cut at shoulder length, and there are pink highlights.Kara pulls me through stores, pulling out ten outfits at a time, and throwing them on the counter. And in a flash, we're back at the camp, and I find myself in black jeans, a stylish white and black halter top, black and white converses, and a black biker jacket.
"Batgirl! You look-" Dick begins. I put my hand in his face like Kara showed me.
"Shut it." I growl, before pulling the bat disappearing trick."Batgirl? Can we please talk?" A voice says at my door. I think it's Dick, until I realise it's a girl. I open it slowly, and see Zatanna in the door frame.
"What do you want?" I growl.
"To apologise."
"Sure." I say sarcastically.
"No, really, Batgirl. NightWing seems happy with you and-"
"You. Don't you see? He's played me for benefits. I'm not buying it anymore. I thought I could trust him."
"No, Batgirl! It's not like that at all! You've known him longer than anyone. I let my emotions get in the way and-" I pinch the bridge of my nose.
"Listen, Zatannna. It's too late for sorry's. From you or NightWing. Please just leave me alone. And the same goes for Nut-Wing."Ok, you guys probably hate me for these last chapters! I wanted to stop repeating the Zatanna, NightWing batgirl love triangle for a while. Although, after the camp, I have a little surprise coming...*laughs evilly*. Let's just say Dick's past loves come to *ahem* haunt him. Woooooooh!
