Part 2 to The Way She Dances

The Way He Loved Her

The Way He Loved Her, was like a perfect picnic. No flaws, no screw-ups, just endless and endless amounts of love. He told her one day, "I will never leave you, not for an eternity, because no matter what happens, I will always be here."
But he has broken that promise. The promise that once bound them together. But 30 years ago, from this day, he died. Left her with nothing no part of him, because her life will never be the same.  He promised her before he died, "Remember I will never leave you, not ever." He told her, wiping her tear away. "I know, and that's why I love you." She said.
Now she is taking, what are her last breaths. But one thing she wants to know is the way he loved her. She could never find words of the way he loved her. He was always so perfect, so wonderful, she could never describe.
So now, today, the day he died, she wonders 'Why did he lie?' He never lied to her, not once, and not ever. He said he would always be there, but now he isn't. She is old now, 4 months away from 72. They got married a bit before that, he proposed on a beach, they had been dancing through the night. Wade, Wade was his name, he was perfect to her. He asked, "I want you to live and love me forever. Never change anything about me, and I ask one thing, don't change on me. I want you as you are, not how someone else wants you to be. I want you, and only you. Forever, until the end of time. So, will you Layla Smith, accept my last name, take me as I am, and all that I will ever be?" Before that she had never even felt truly in love, not with anyone. But that moment she realized she loved him, she wanted his last name, she wanted to say she was his wife, she wanted everything about him. And then, 7 years later, he was taken from her.
That girl, that woman, is me, I am Layla Smith, my husband died at only 34, he was ripped from his home, from his life, and more importantly, from his wife, whom never moved on, because, "I love him. Forever and always, too infinity and beyond, to other universes filled with vast horizons. I will love him, and I will wait.
I felt myself fall out of my chair and onto the floor, my heart, I knew what this was, my chest was filled with an unbearable pain, I couldn't even move anymore, but yet I am still thinking.
I close my eyes, and then I open them to a vast meadow of flowers. I sit up and I feel fine, perfect even, and then I see him. Wade Winston Wilson. My husband. My universe. He looks the same the day he married me, I look down and so do I. We aren't wearing our wedding attire or anything, but we are young, I'm not old, and he isn't decaying bones. We are free. I rush over to him and he lifts me up and hugs me. I sob into him, only then do I see my surroundings, we are surrounded by Spider Lilies, my favorite, it may not be girly or anything, but I love Spider Lilies.
"Wade, how are we here." I ask him as he sets me down.
"We have died, Layla, we are gone from the Earth, but reborn on another. We can live here together, we can have a life, we can be free." He says looking into my blue eyes, while I look into his green ones.
The Way He Loved Her, is like no other.
