2 years later -
Bree's pov -

"Cameron!" I yelled up the stars, dinner was ready and he had been upstairs since he got home from work.
"Coming" he shouted back as I turned around and walked into the kitchen, Christopher already in his chair.
"Hey baby" I smiled
"Mamaaaa" he smiled back, I went over to him and kissed his cheek as Cameron finally walked into the kitchen, he went straight passed me, grabbed a plate and started to put pasta on it. We were back to no talking due to the argument 3 days ago. Ever since he proposed 5 years ago, our relationship slowly began to crumble. He finished putting his food on the plate and sat down.
"Daddy?" Christopher frowned
"Eat" he said coldly.
"How can he eat? I haven't made his plate yet" I said as he looked up at me.
"Bree, don't start" he said, voice slightly raised.
"Why are you being such an asshole?" I said, becoming upset. He was mad at me for no reason, he started an argument with me for nothing.
"God dammit Bree!" He yelled, slamming his fist on the table, causing Christopher to start crying.
"Great, you scared him!" I said, my voice laced with venom.
"It's okay baby, just eat your food. Mommy will be right back" I smiled as I set his plate and juice in front of him. I then walked upstairs to Cameron and I's bedroom and collapsed on the bed, finally letting the tears flow. When I was younger I never expected my life would turn out like this. 23, a son, engaged to a man, who could give a shit less about me most of the time, it just wasn't fair! I have devoted myself to Cameron since I was 18 and all he does now is yell at me. I heard heavy footsteps approaching my closed door, so I quickly wiped my tears and sat up on the bed and looked out the window.
"I'm going to stay at Travis' for a while" Cameron said standing in the doorway.
"Why?"
"I don't wanna be here" he replied with no emotion.
"What did I do wrong?" I mumbled as tears began to form in my eyes again.
"Bree stop okay? Just shut the fuck up" he yelled, and ran his fingers through his freshly dyed black hair.
"Okay.. Take this with you" I said and took my engagement ring off, and placed it on the bed.
"Bree" he started
"No Cameron, I don't want to marry you anymore. You've treated me like shit for no reason and I'm done with it! You go stay with Travis but then you get back, me and Christopher won't be here" I said and stood up. Cameron was the love of my life. But enough was enough. I deserve better. Christopher deserves a better life, a life without screaming and fighting.
Cameron stood there, expressionless.
"You don't love me anymore?" He said, hurt in his eyes.
"No" I lied and pushed passed him.
****
"Where are you going daddy?" Christopher asked as Cameron began to leave.
"I'm going to uncle trav's for a while"
"Can I go?"
"No buddy" Cameron frowned
"Don't worry baby we're going to visit grandma" I smiled form at Christopher
"Yay" he clapped
"I love you Christopher" Cameron said and sat down to kiss his cheek
"Love you too" and then, Cameron walked out the door taking my heart with him.
