Bree -

"Oh shit"
"What?" Collin asked and looked in my line of sight.
"We need to leave" I said, panic in my voice.
"We just got here?" Collin said and looked confused. We needed to leave before Cameron saw me. Just as I was about to reply, Cameron turned around and our eyes met.
"Bree!" Cameron yelled across the diner and I grabbed Collins hand and pulled him out of the diner. Sadly, Cameron caught up with us.
"Bree stop!" Cameron yelled. I stopped and turned around, I let go of Collins hand but he was quick to hold my hand again, squeezing tightly.
"What? we have somewhere to be" I lied
"Yeah sure" Cameron retorted
"Really, I reserved a dinner for us" Collin spoke up confidently. Dammit Collin, wrong thing to say.
"Oh? Is this your boyfriend Bree?" Cameron said, his whole demeanor changed. No longer just normal Cameron, but a pissed off, jealous Cameron.
"No,this is my boss" I said truthfully. Collin was my boss, we're just a little friendly towards each other.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Bree's ex Cameron, Christopher's father." Cameron said calmly and stuck his hand out to shake Collins, what the hell?
"Collin Woods" Collin smiled and shook his hand. Even though they were talking nicely, if words could kill they'd both be dead.
"Anyway, we need to talk Bree"
"There's nothing to talk about" I replied
"You know what there is to talk about" he said coldly. I sighed,
"Tomorrow's Friday, you're coming over to spend time with Christopher right?" I asked
"Yeah"
"We'll talk then" I said and started to walk away with Collin right behind me.
"Bye Bree" he said, he honestly sounded sad.
"Bye" I said and didn't even bother turning around.
"Are we really going out to dinner?" I asked as me and Collin walked hand in hand down the sidewalk of LA.
"Yeah, I was planning on taking you to the diner to have a cupcake because they are amazing then i was going to take you to dinner." He smiled, God he was amazing.
"I look like shit and you're in a nice suit, we can't go out to dinner now." I said, honestly.. I didn't look terrible, but I don't think skinny jeans and purple v-neck tee shirt would cut it in some fancy restaurant.
"You look beautiful" he replied and my heart swelled. These few days I've spent with Collin have been amazing. Since I found out I was pregnant, Collin hasn't left my side. Every Time I've started having issues, he was right there to comfort me and I couldn't thank him enough.
****
"Thank you for tonight" I smiled as we stood on my front porch. Chelsea texted me from inside and said that Christopher was asleep so I didn't have to worry about chasing around my 5 year old till he fell asleep.
"No problem, you don't ever have to worry about not having a good time with me" he smiled
"Yeah." I laughed and he looked into my eyes like he was lost. Before I realized, he was leaning in, oh god .. He's gonna kiss me! I panicked and quickly turned my head to the side where his lips pecked my cheek.
"Bree I'm so sorry!" He said
"No it's okay" I blushed, does this mean he likes me? You kiss people you like right?
"Well I'll see you tomorrow at work" he smiled awkwardly, I felt so bad but I barely understood my feelings towards Collin. Did I like him? Wasn't that too soon? I still loved Cameron, even though it was fading the love was still there. Although, there was no denying I loved being around Collin. Every Time we were together I felt happier than I have in years. With Cameron he made me feel alive, but he'd always upset me in some way. But with Collin, there was no flaw. Every moment with him was pure bliss.
"I'll see you tomorrow" I smiled as he nodded and walked back to his car. I waved him goodbye and walked inside to see Chelsea asleep on the couch.
"Wake up slut" I laughed and slapped her butt. She jolted awake.
"You bitch" she groaned and sat up
"I'm going to sleep. Are you leaving?" I asked, a lot of nights Chelsea stayed
"No I'm staying the night. My bags in your guest room, I was just waiting till you got home to go up there"
"Oh okay" I nodded and headed upstairs with Chelsea right behind me.
****
6:30 came around all too quickly and I was smacking my alarm clock off. I sat up with a groan and went over to my closet to pick out something to wear. I couldn't pick, so I just grabbed my purple dress that fit my curves perfectly and my black heels. I decided to leave my hair in its natural wavy state and did my normal makeup routine, I just wasn't feeling it today. When I looked in the mirror, I noticed my stomach wasn't bloated. When i was pregnant with Christopher within a few weeks I started to gain weight.
After finishing everything I went downstairs to make myself breakfast, when I walked into the kitchen Chelsea was already in there.
"Hola" I said
"Hey" she smiled back, she was making herself a cup of coffee.
"My stomach hurts" I groaned and grabbed my favorite coffee cup from the cabinet.
"Is it that time of the month?" She smirked and my heart sped
"Uh no" I said quietly
"Oh" she said, I loved Chelsea but she was so oblivious sometimes.
"Yeah" I said and the conversation died down, until 7:30 rolled around and my crazy 5 year old ran down the stairs.
"Mommmyyyyy"
"What baby?" I smiled as he plopped down on the couch beside me.
"Daddy's coming today!!" She yelled in excitement. Cameron might be a shitty person, but he was one hell of a dad. Never once did he disappoint when it came to our son.
"Yeah he is. He'll probably be picking you up from the bus stop. I have to work a little later than normal" I said and Christopher nodded, "can i get some chocolate waffles?" He smiled at me, his green eyes wide. He was giving me the puppy dog eyes.
"Chelsea?"
"What?"
"Was Chris good last night?" I said and looked over at Christopher was smiling widely and nodding his head rapidly
"Always" Chelsea replied with a wink
"Yes you can have waffles" I laughed as Christopher cheered, the things that excite this boy. I got up and began to heat up some microwaveable chocolate waffles as he waited impatiently. Once his waffles were ready he began eating and I went back into the living room with Chelsea who was watching the news. An hour later, Christopher's bus came and it was just me and Chelsea. We didn't have to be at work till 9:30.
"So how are you and the boss?" She smirked
"We're friends Chel" I replied
"Sure"
"I'm serious"
"Y'all are always together" she laughed, I was about to argue back, but there was a sharp knock at the door. It was 9:00 why was someone here? The neighbors knew I leave around this time.
"Hello?" I said as I swung the door open.
"Hello Bree" Collin smirked
"What are you doing here? Me and Chelsea were about to leave" I asked in confusion
"I came to pick you up. Didn't know Chelsea was here too. I can take you both to work." He smiled. Collin was nothing but surprises.
"No it's okay. I need to get gas" Chelsea said and quickly grabbed all her things.
"Oh okay" Collin laughed
"Bye guys. I'll see you two at work" Chelsea winked and walked passed Collin and out of the door. She did that on purpose
"Shall we?"
"Okay" I laughed and turned of the tv and grabbed my bag.
"How are you feeling?" Collin asked as we drove down the highway
"I'm fine. It's weird though, when I was pregnant with Chris I got bloated really quickly and that's not happening this time."
"Have you made a doctors appointment?"
"I have one for next Wednesday" I replied, God I wasn't ready for another child. And I definitely wasn't ready for another one with Cameron especially since we weren't together anymore. But I won't treat this baby any different than Christopher, this was my child too. After that, our conversation just kinda stopped. It was a nice silence the whole drive to work. Collin held my hand for a good portion of the time we were in the car which caused me to feel funny. Every time we made contact, I felt dizzy, my heart raced, I felt like I was floating. It was such a great feeling.
We arrived at Woods Corporation at 9:20, 10 minutes early. I started to open my door was Collin beat me to it.
"Thank you" I smiled
"No problem"
We got our things and began walking side by side into the building. We got into the elevator and went up to the top floor, where both of our offices were. Once the elevator doors open he grabbed my hand and held it tightly. All the workers in the room turned and looked at us, my cheeks burned. I'm almost 100% sure my face was bright red.
When we got to my office, Collin let go of my hand.
"Be ready at 12:30 for your lunch break" He spoke confidently. How confident Collin was, is one of the most attractive things about him.
"Why?" I said and turned my computer on
"We're going to lunch .... Well if you want" he said shyly
"I'd love to" I smiled
"Can't wait" he winked and walked out the door.
