Bree's pov -

I pulled into my driveway to see Chelsea's car parked beside Cameron's. I smiled at the fact my son was home and that I had my best friend here to tell her what happened at the store.
"Hey guys" I smiled as I walked through the door. Cameron and Christopher were laying on the floor watching the tv, The Corpse Bride played loudly.
"Hey mommy" Christopher smiled
"Where's Chelsea?" I asked noticing she wasn't in the living room.
"Bathroom" Cameron replied in his monotone like voice. I sighed and walked into the kitchen to put away the groceries. As I was putting the last item in its rightful place Chelsea walked into the kitchen.
"Hey" she smiled
"Hey, thanks for taking Christopher while me and Cameron had a talk"
"No problem"
"Guess what happened at the store" I smiled
"What?"
"I bumped into Mr.Woods.. Literally"
"Oh fun, how'd that go?"
"Okay I guess.. He wants me to email him sometime"
"Oh my god" Chelsea squealed
"Yeah and I may have slightly flirted with him"
"Did he flirt back?"
"Kind of" I smiled
"Getting over me quick huh?" Cameron asked rudely as he walked into the kitchen
"It's not like that, you ass" I replied "sounded like it" he huffed
"Well I gotta go.. I'll see you tomorrow, Bree" Chelsea smiled awkwardly as she left me in the kitchen with Cameron.. Thanks a lot Chelsea.
"How can you get over someone you love so easily?" He yelled
"Jesus Christ Cameron, I'm not fucking over you but I am allowed to like someone. We are not together! Nor will we ever be again!" I shouted, instantly regretting my words as Cameron's face fell.
"Got it" he replied sadly.
"Cameron I-"
"Forget it. I have to go" he said and walked out the kitchen and out the front door, slamming it behind him
"Daddy!" Christopher yelled at the window as Cameron drove off
"Im sorry baby" I frowned as Chris turned around to face me
"It's all your fault!" He screamed, I was suddenly taken aback by his outburst
"How is this my fault?" I asked sadly
"You're the reason daddy hates me! So I hate you!" He screamed
And that's when I just let the tears fall. My own son said he hates me and it honestly broke my heart harder than anyone has before.
"Go to your room!" I yelled as I wiped my tears. He huffed and stomped up the stairs. Leaving me alone with my thoughts. I was the reason Cameron and I broke up but why was that a bad thing? He treated me like shit and I was beyond tired of it. I sat in the living room for another 2 hours before I finally drifted off to sleep on the couch.
"Mommy it's 8:25 im going to the bus stop" Christopher said, waking me. I rubbed my eyes and nodded as he said okay and walked out the front door I stood on the front porch till I saw Christopher get onto the bus, once he was gone; i went back inside and went to my room, plopping down on the bed. I honestly didn't feel like going to work today, so I called in sick. I changed into my sweatpants and a Nirvana cut off shirt, put my hair in a messy bun and sat down on my bed, turning the tv onto The Walking Dead reruns. Hours later there was a sharp knock at the door. I groaned loudly and walked downstairs to greet whoever was at the door.
"What?" I snapped as I opened the door
"Well hello Bree" Collin smiled
"Oh, Mr.Woods. Hi sorry"
"It's okay, doll. I heard you called in sick. You don't look very sick" he said looking at me up and down
"Does mentally sick count?" I frowned
"No Bree"
"Does this mean you're not hiring me ? Because that would he just the cherry on top of this shitty-ness" I fronted, I was worn out and fed up with everything. Life was becoming overwhelming.
"No, I plan on hiring you. You have great potential. Are you okay, Bree?" He asked
"No"
"May I come in?" he smiled
