Chapter 12-Masquerade Ball

/Daisy's POV/
I watched intently as he walked out of my room.I roll my eyes and began to brush my curls,picking an aqua blue bow to match my dress.After I slipped on my black flats I got up and walked outside of my door,only to be startled by a tall figure . He was tall and thin but built.He had sandy blonde hair,bluish-greenish eyes and big beautiful plump lips."Ah,you must be Daisy...every one talks about you " he takes a bow then reaches for my hand and kisses it ."Darling,I am Cassiel...but many call me Cass.I am a friend of Luc's"he looked me up and down ."I...I would introduce myself but you already seem to know me"I began walking down the hall feeling slightly uneasy."Excuse me for being rude but where is your chaperone?" "You mean the old lady that used to care for me"he shook his head yes."she was....uhm...let's just say she was 'let go' "I used my fingers for quotation marks."Ah, I knew I might have recognized the corpse"he looks off into the distance.My eyes grew wide with horror and he smiles ."Just joking of course."I rolled my eyes and sighed as I continued walking "So Cassiel,what brings you here to this horrific maze of a home?".He paused for a moment as if hesitating"Well Lucy called me over because he wanted me to be your chaperone for th-" "I see you've met Cassiel "Lucifer interrupts."Yes I have thank you"he sensed anger in my tone."Listen up little girl, I have so much authority and I am a well respected....man so if you decide to disrespect me the punishment will be unbearable so,you best be careful on how you speak to me."I grew angrier as he was speaking , Cassiel just yawns and steps to the side . I gestured my finger to Lucifer to come here, he bends down so we are face to face .I slap him and spit on his face and run fast . He stands up infuriated and strides towards me. I ran into a room with books lying on shelves , there seemed to be over 1,000 in that large room.I ran under a velvet colored love seat and hid there trying to control my breathing. I had nearly stopped breathing when the door opened and I once again heard Luc's elegant strides. He walked in the room and by the way he spoke I can feel the ear to ear grin"your a naughty little girl Daisy and once I find you there will be consequences."I finally tried breathing again but when I did I inhaled dust particles from under the seats and I began coughing.Lucifer walks over to the love seat in seconds and whispers"I think I've found the naughty girl"and he pushes the love seat aside and grabs me by my hair and pulls me out of the room.He drags me into the hall and slams my head into the wall creating a hole.He digs his finger nail beds into my neck and I scream."Shut up you horrible mistake of a human!"Hot tears stream down my cheeks as he throws me to the floor kicking my abdomen once again .I winced in pain and silently cry."Your going to get the fuck up and stop being a little bitch and your going to the ball understand?"He glares at me with his eyes that turned all black."Y..yes I do understand"I shivered.He roughly picked me up by my arm and yells for Cassiel.I heard him whisper to Cass in a different language that sounds like words backwards and hissing.I look up at the two men over towering me and Cassiel smiles down at me ."Are you ready to go,Ms.Daisy"he asks me in a soft sweet syrupy voice."I am thank you for asking"I smile to him revealing my dimples.He holds out his hand and leads me to the carriage helping me get inside.He gets in side sitting on the opposite side of me,so we are face to face."Protect her with your life,Cassiel"Lucifer comes to the window and tells him."Don't worry Lucy she is in good hands"he smiled beautifully ."Don't call me that"he hissed and tapped the carriage twice making it go.I awkwardly look to the floor and sit in silence still being sore from the past events.He grabs my hand startling me and says "you look beautiful Daisy you really do."I blushed red and look to my shoes "Well thanks Cassiel,your such a gentleman."With that we rode off into silence and sleep came quick to me.Maybe about an hour or so later I woke up with a light tap on my shoulder"Hey princess we are here"he cooed softly into my ear.I woke up with a smile then remembered"Cassiel what we're you trying to tell me before Lucifer had interrupted?"He smiles sheepishly and says "I'm going to be your chaperone for tonight so come on let's go."He led me out of the carriage and takes my hand."watch your step"he warns me."But Cassiel I can't see it's too dark out here."He paused for a moment then laughed"Ah,humans the delicate flowers of life."As he said that he grabs my waist and carries me in his arms like a baby.I rest my head on Cass' muscular arm and listen to the sounds of his long beautiful strides .Not five minutes later he places me down and grabs hold of my hand."Stand by me and you won't get devoured by the demons"he says in a jokingly manner but I was still scared.I hid behind his black as we passed by many demons most were shooting me glares while others were smiling creepily. Cass finally found Luc in the castle.He held my face and his touch made me feel....giddy?
