Unnamed POV

I found myself on a cot in a cell wearing shorts. Huh. There was a window, but it was dark out. I felt something pull in my chest, something telling me I needed to go somewhere. I stood and inhaled deeply, catching the scents of many werewolves. We were in a pack. Across the hall, Xavier lay in another cell. I looked around for a minute before I realized Sydney was nowhere to be seen. The pull was to her. Suddenly, the pull seemed to yank me forward.

Oh no. She was in her pack, and somehow I knew the pull was her bloodlust. I was her creator, I was supposed to control it. I didn't do so well when she drank from me, most likely because I had no care about my own life, but if she had bloodlust away from me, then she would suck them dry. She didn't know how to stop with bloodlust that thick. At least, I doubted she could. She did seem to be stronger...

I growled and lunged at the barred door, grabbing the bars and yanking it off the hinges. These things were built to hold werewolves, not vampires. I threw the door aside, and two wolves came skidding to the hallway, looking at me in horror. Before they could understand and whilst Xavier jerked awake, I took off towards the pull. I hadn't eaten recently, so I was relying on Xavier's blood, for now. I'd fix that soon. The two wolves tried to catch me, howling a warning that echoed in the halls.

Another tried to grab me, so I punched his head, sending him falling. I ran up the stairs three at a time and caught my mate's scent, following that and the pull. I burst through a door and found her sucking on an unmated male's neck.

My werewolf side was jealous, my vampire side needed to stop her, so I growled deeply and pushed past the panicking people to Sydney. The male was looking faint, not drained yet, so I grabbed the back of her neck and gently pulled back. I didn't have to pry her off, she came off on her own and leaned back on me. The male, who I could tell was an Alpha, nearly fell before a mated male that smelled related to him caught him. Actually, now that I thought about it, they both looked and smelled like Sydney, who was still shaking.

She needed more blood.

I sighed, remembering how much blood I went through during my change. The difference was, I had no one to stop me from killing. If I gave her what little I had regenerated from Xavier's, then I couldn't stop her, so I made a split second decision and knocked her out using a pressure point on her shoulder. I didn't know how these people will react to me helping her suck their blood.

Now, I was faced with the dilemma of explaining all of this without talking to a crowd of angry werewolves. They were growling at me, some already shifted and ready to pounce. The man my mate was feeding from managed to stand on his own, further evidence that he was an alpha. He growled and snapped at me,

"What was that!"

I curled my lip up to show my fangs, moving my arms so I was holding my mate securely. They snarled at me. I sighed and relaxed, looking up and trying to find a way to explain. He walked unsteadily until he was right in front of me. I looked him in the eye.

"What did you do to my daughter!" He growled and demanded.

I shifted her in my arms so I could point to the two silver dots on her neck. The venom used to turn people into vampires was silver, and it stained the skin on a newborn. I still had my marks from where Drakos bit me. The male was seething and glaring daggers at me.

"How is her blood not killing you, and why are you even her mate in the first place!"

Huh. He didn't know I was a werewolf. I shifted slightly, so my ears pointed and dark blue fur grew on my body. I flashed him a grin of sharp teeth with fangs before I went back to my vampire form. The male was already pale from losing blood, but now he went stark white.
