Honestly, Emily had never felt so alone before. I mean, she and Kaylee ARE bffs, but they had only decided that in graduation year of high school. Plus, Kaylee knew about her relationship with Max, and where they stood. For now, Emily and Max were complete best friends. Kaylee didnt mind at all. She was her best girl-friend, but Max was basically her brother. They were that close, to come to the point where whenever Max or Emily were apart, they could feel it. Kaylee knew how tough it was for someone close to go away for awhile. Her mother had died when she was younger, but she was fine. Kaylee decided to try to cheer up Emily as much as possible.

The plane had just landed in Iraq, and Max had been completely regenerated while talking to Robert. He told him about his problem with Emily. "Ohh, that was me in that situation my boy. It isn't exactly the best place to be at this time, so try to text your girl as soon as possible. And hey, if you don't have enough money to text her since your cell phone carrier plan doesn't include international?" Robert handed him a crisp $100 American bill. "Use this, and i insist." Max didn't argue, and as he got up to get his luggage, he went to bro-hug Robert, but he was already gone. He asked the flight attendant if he had seen the man sitting in the seat, and the woman on the opposite side of the cabin by him answered. "I think the plane got to you sir, cause there was no one sitting in that seat. In fact, you were asleep the entire time. You probably had a dream, and by the way, good luck with the Marines-thing." She pulled on his name tag, and chuckled. Max was confused, and went to his carry on back and looked for a piece of gum. Ontop of the bag was several $100 American bills, and a note. He opened up the note, and it said:

Dear Max,

It was real nice talkin to ya, and by now, you've probably realized that I was never there. But I was, and don't think too hard about it. And by the way, when you get to the base, say hi to Flynn Roster from Robert.
