Life Of April

Road Trip

April and her family are heading out on vacation. They are going to Las Vegas for spring break. It will take them 3 days to get there. So as they set off and is almost there her step monster gets extremely sick. He tries to tough it out and they make it Saturday mid-afternoon. Sadly as Monday comes around he still isn't feeling well. So thinking it was some bad food he went to the hospital in Vegas. 3 hours later April and her mom find out they are keeping him for at least a week. "What an amazing trip." April tells her mom sarcastically. Her mom just giggles "Ya I know right it's karma biting back at him." she says back. They go back and see him and they found out he had a blood clot blocking blood flow and it broke and went to his spreen stopping white blood cell production and he was low iron and potassium and very anemic. Things weren't looking well for April for she was a good Nurse assistant at home would now be needed full time. She stepped ready for whatever she had to do once they got home. Well they still had to wait a week so April and her mom decided to make the most of it. April went to the pool to work on her tan as her mom went and enjoyed the hot tub and shade. April and her mom were complete opposites but had the similarities. Together went and got a massage and got there toes done. With the hotel they were staying at inside had a huge theme park so they went in and rode some rides and quicker than they realized they had to extend their stay. For they weren't letting step monster out till Monday and there say ended Friday. Finally the day came he could leave but step monster wanted to spend one night with his oldest son. So they ended up leaving Wednesday and by now April has miss almost a full week of school. As they were driving home they actually got home the next day. Oh how April actually loved being home. Even though her help was going to be very much needed she was overjoyed to be back home. In the end April would say the trip wasn't a total bust she did get to have some fun with her mom and just be themselves. Overall lets never do that again she says to herself.
