As April progresses through school she slowly finds her talents.Though all the negatives in her life things start looking good for her. She quickly learns though that she's a good baker. So in her free time she watches baking shows on the internet. Then within that week she tries to replicate at least 1 thing she saw. As she does that she notices her math grade go up. For now Geometry class isn't so rough and brutal. She continues to bake even if her step dad get annoyed she had found what she loved to do. "There's nothing better than seeing someone smile as the bite into something I've baked" she explains to her mother. Her mom encourages her in her baking even to the point her mom may have found her a summer job working at a bakery. Along the way when she is signing up for classes next year her teacher puts her in a higher math class. April has never been in a higher level class before. She feels scared and nervous. "I'm good in Geometry but thats it" she thinks in her head. In class the next day the teacher gave her a worksheet she has to figure out how much carpet to lay down in 2 rooms. In the 2 rooms there'll be tile in a little part then in the other a fireplace.She looks at the paper and gives up. "It's hopeless I can't do this" she thinks silently in her head. Instead she tries the best and actually gets done before anyone else in her class, plus helped at para (teachers assistant) figure it out. April never knew she was good in anything. People always told her she wouldn't make it in anything. Everyday she'd go home and to school with a fake smile. Normal people in her case would cry or be bitter but she stayed positive. Who know what else she may find. With 2 years of school left she better work quick because time maybe the one to destroy her!
