"I hate you!" I yell once I find him in the cafeteria. He sat alone on our usual table, stuffing his mouth with food.

"Please babe, I know you love me." He smiled, his cheeks puffed with food.

"Oh no! I hate you. People won't just stop looking at me." I exclaim. I catch a guy with piercing blue eyes looking at me. "See!" I throw my hands pointing at him. Chase looks at him and gets.

"Hey punk, gotta problem with my best friend. You better stop eye raping her before I break a few of your bones." He gets into the guys face. I did a face palm and pulled him back.

"That's not what I meant." I say as I sit across him. A familiar smirk followed his lips

"I know."

"You are a jerk." I say, shaking my head. "I cannot believe that I'm actually doing this."

"You've said that line more than a hundred times. Give me a break for heaven's sake." He said holding his forehead dramatically.

"Give you a break? Yeah sure why not? I'll give you a break from life." I said fisting my hand. I went to punch but he grabbed my fist and gave me a flat face.

"Seriously. What happened to the Shelly Summer's punch?" He asked mocking me. I smirked. I grabbed his hand and twisted it. He grunted in pain. "Let go let go let go!" I let go and smiled.

"You were saying..."

"You little-"

"Shelly?" I turned to my left to see Jake with his food tray eyeing Chase. "What is he doing here?"

"I should be asking you that." He narrowed his eyes at him. "What is he doing here?"

"I sit at this table." Jake snapped. "And I sit there. So leave."

"I don't think so." Chase got up. "Don't mess with me newbie, you don't know who I am."

"I know you. You are Chase Bones, the freaky popular kid who is so full of himself."Everyone in the cafeteria had stopped everything that they were doing just to see the fight. Jake's comment got Chase mad, like really mad. His face was red and his chest was heaving up and down.

"You-" Chase's fist came in contact with Jake's face. Jake was on the floor, holding his jaw, as well as was his tray.

"Chase!" I yell and grab his collar. I pull him back a little and glare at him. "You cannot just hurt people like that!"

"Did you not hear what he called me?" He growled.

"Do you not hear what everyone calls me? You don't see me punching the day lights outta them." I turn around and look at Jake. He is still on the floor but a group of people surround him. I shove them away and bend in front of him. Jessica was sitting beside her brother, her hand on his shoulder.  "You okay?"

"Yeah.." He mumbles. I help him of the floor and guide him to the nurse's office. "What was he doing there?" He asked.

"Lets just not talk about it right now." Jessica said. I knocked on the nurse's door and entered. I sat down on the chair as the nurse examined Jake's face. My phone vibrated. It was a message from Robbie.

Kiddo you better get here as fast as you can with Chase. There's a fight going on and if the two of you win it, you'll get into the tournament!

My eyes lit up as bright as a Christmas tree. "I gotta go." I got up and raced down the hall to find Chase. I found him sitting in the lawn staring at the sky. "Chase!" I yelled and ran to him. He looked at me weird and started to get up. Me being a little clumsy that I am, slipped over a small rock and fell onto him.
