It's been a week since the incident. I've been much better but still I'm sore. Chase, the doctor, dad, Jake and Jessica refuse to allow me to go the warehouse (My fighting gym) claiming that any physical activity will affect my stomach. Chase has cancelled the plan of the tournament. In fact, yesterday, he went to boss and got our names off the list. So now there is no hope of paying back the loans.
Anyways, I start school again tomorrow. I was sick of staying at home and I think I can pull myself through this. I was currently sitting in the front room, watching TV with Chase and the twins. Dad was still admitted in the hospital, Sam was sleeping upstairs and Talia is out with a few friends of hers. She decided to stay with me until dad comes back or till I'm a 100% healed.
"I'm hungry." I say to myself.
"I think we all are." Jake says back. Things are up between Chase and Jake. But they sure have reduced a lot after I was back from the hospital. They still do bicker and fight like kids but now it's a lot better.
"Why don't the boys make us some food?" Jessica suggests.
"No way in hell!"Chase exclaims. I pout and look at him.
"Pweese Chasey wasey. I'm not well and I'm hungry. Pweese?" He eyes my face carefully before his eyes soften.
"Fine." He grabs Jake's collar and pulls him along with him. Jessica looks at me with disbelief.
"What?"
"You two are totally into each other!" She exclaims. "Did you not see how he melted when you pouted? It's so obvious that he likes you and vice versa. It's in the way the two of you look at each other." She says. "I'm telling you, I ship Challey!" She yells
"Who is Challey?" Chase asks coming into the room with two sandwich on two different plates. Chase hands me one plate and sits down on the ground, in front of the couch. Jake does the same with Jessie.
"Oh no one just yours and Shelly's ship name." Jake says with a smirk.
"Wait, he knows?" I ask Jessica. She nods.
"I needed to fan girl with someone right?" I roll my eyes at her.
"You guys are so annoying!" I get up slowly from where I sit. "I'm going upstairs." I take small steps but find myself lifted in no time.
"You'll take 10 years to just reach the stairs with pace you were walking with." Chase chuckles and carries me, bridal style, to my room.
"Goals!" Jake yells from the front room.I roll my eyes but giggle anyways.
"I don't get what's wrong with them." Chase says, putting me down carefully. "It's not like anything's going to happen. There is no way that we'll be in a relationship." He laughed. My heart dropped a little bit. If only you knew...
"Yeah." I fake a laugh. I lay down on my bed and stare at the ceiling. I've had these feelings for Chase for some time now. I'm positive that I like him but he doesn't like me. He just confirmed it. He'll never like me and to be honest, I don't blame him. Look at me! I'm a messed up pathetic excuse for a girl! I don't even behave like a girl.
I have a messed up life; I lost my mom, my dad's fighting for his life, I am a fighter who fights for other's entertainments and gets money out of it. My poor little brother is oblivious to half the things happening and I am practically a loner. Why would someone like Chase, who has no life drama in his life, want a baggage like me?
"Earth to Cherry." I blink a couple times before turning to the side to face Chase. He is laying down beside me. His face inches away from mine. I could feel his breath fanning my face as he spoke. "You spaced out. What are you thinking about?" I open my mouth but shut it just as soon as I had opened it. Shaking my head, I mumble a nothing to him and go back to staring my ceiling. "Oh come on! You cannot be thinking nothing, you can never think 'nothing' it is hypothetically not possible."
