I woke up at 6:30. I got dressed, but on mascara, and straightened my hair. I grabbed my forest green backpack and my phone and went downstairs to eat breakfast. I ate cereal and an apple, and headed out the door, it was 6:57 and the bus was supposed to come at 7:00, but my bus stop was right across the street." I walked out the door and saw Jacob waiting at the stop. he smiled at me and I smiled back. It was still a little awkward from yesterday but I decided not to bring anything up right then. I looked out of the corner of my eye. Jacob was staring at me.

I was looking at Abby. She looked great. I totally shut her down yesterday when she tried to kiss me, but I didn't want her reason to kiss me to be because I was sad. If we were going to kiss I wanted it be real. The bus finally pulled up. I found a seat in the back and Abby sat next to me. She smelled like cinnamon and vanilla. I could tell she was nervous because she was shaking, so I put my hand on her shoulder and said "Are you alright?" "Yeah. Just anxious" she replied. "Okay" I said back. We talked about our schedules the rest of the way.

We finally got to school, Jacob and I figured out we had 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 8th period together. That comforted me a little to know I had a friend in those classes. Home room was pretty good, we had a teacher named Mr. Anderson, he was the math teacher. I had Home Economics 1st Period, she gave us permission slip to get signed because we were going to cook. I had 2nd Period with Jacob, we had French. Comment aimeriez-vous avoir un garçon mignon dans votre classe française ? (Have fun trying to translate that) I walked in the class right before the bell rang. The desks were set up in groups of threes. Jacob was sitting with Amy and had saved me a seat. The period flew by, we just talked the whole time. 3rd period I had Band and Health on a rotation. Today I had Band. We had an icebreaker game for the period and it was tons of fun. 4th Period I had English class and we talked about a start up essay. 5th Period I had math. It was my favorite subject and Mr. Anderson was by far my favorite teacher. 6th period was lunch and I sat next to Jacob, and Amy, Joseph, and Derrick were there too. "Want an apple?" I asked Jacob. I had just had my braces tightened and they hurt. " He said "Yeah" and I handed it over. "Orange?" He asked "Yeah" I said as he handed it over.  Amy did eyebrows at Joseph. I knew what they were thinking. Jacob saw it too. "Amyyyy...." He said. She stopped after that. We had a whole period just for lunch, so we hung out and talked the whole time. 7th period came around quick. My 7th period rotated between chorus and gym, I had chorus today. I walked in and everyone stared. God I hated when people did that. I sat in my assigned seat and we started with vocal warm-ups. The girl next to me complimented me on my voice, I said thank you back, she seemed really nice. 8th period I had Humanities, it was extremely boring, so Jacob and I just talked the whole time. I had Science 9th period. All we did was go over lab rules. That was also boring. After 9th period, I went to my locker and got all my stuff , and went outside to catch my bus. I got on and saw Jacob, he waved me over. We sat next to each other on the way home. He asked me if I wanted to come over to his house. I said "Yes" and texted my mom that I would be at Jacob's house. When we got off the bus he started talking. "Hey I'm sorry I was so harsh to you yesterday. I just wasn't expecting you to see my shoulder, and then you tried to-- "I get it." I exclaimed. I didn't want to talk about the kiss, but after a short while I learned that that was all he wanted to talk about. He didn't get that I wasn't okay talking about it. I kept changing the subject and he seemed to buy it so  I went along. "How was your first day?" I asked. "Great actually. Yours?" "Good. I learned that our school has a volleyball team and the tryouts are next week. I can't wait." I said bouncing with joy. He grinned.
