(Abby's P.O.V.)
We pay the lady at the gate and walk in. There's all sort of stuff. "What do you wanna do first?" Jacob said, laughing at how big my eyes got looking everywhere. "I don't know. You can decide first." "Okay" he started walking toward a balloon game. He won a baby teddy bear stuffed animal and handed it to me "Thanks" I said, he smiled. We walked for what felt like a long time just talking. All of a sudden he said "Crap. I'll owe you one." and quickly put his hand in mine. I was in a state of mild confusion but soon realized a group of girls walking towards us. "Hey" the one in the middle said "Hey Darcy"he said acting cool "You're dating her?" "Yes" he replied "Kiss then" she said. Jacob and I looked at each other and he started blushing again. "I don't thin-" jacob started "okay" I said. He looked at me in awe, Darcy just looked at us snickering. We leaned in and touched lips. Not even worthy of being called a kiss. I could tell he was really nervous so I didn't push. Darcy just simply said "okay" and her and her group of girls walked away giggling to each other. "Woah" he said smirking. I laughed "What are friends for?" "Woah" he repeated blushing, he was in shock. We started walking again. It was probably 7 by now and we decided to go on one more ride before walking back home. The Ferris wheel. The most stereotypical thing at a fair. We waited in line for a few minutes and finally got on. We sat close to each other. Enjoying the view. Going up and up... All of a sudden the Ferris wheel came to a stop, and we were at the top... I grabbed Jacobs hand out of fear, which startled him at first, but then he relaxed. "Jacob" "Yeah" he said looking at me. "Did I forget to mention I'm scared of heights?" "Um yeah" he said laughing at me " I wanted to pretend I was all bad ass and stuff" I grinned "You're insane." He replied. I felt safe with Jacob. "What's your biggest fear?" I asked. his smile faded "Losing someone I care about" he replied "What was your life like back where you're from?" He asked. Then my smile faded. "New York was great. My volleyball team was going to the junior Olympics, I had lots of friends, and a boyfriend." "Oh" he remarked letting go of my hand. "We broke up when I moved though." "Okay" he said. "What's with Darcy and her posy?" I asked
(Jacobs P.O.V.)
I let go of her hand when she told me she had a boyfriend. She then told me that they broke up. Which made me feel better. Wait. Why did I care? "What's with Darcy and her posy?" Abby asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "We dated for like 8 months." I replied "How? She seemed like a witch tonight." she said. "She is. I just didn't see it while we were dating" I realized "oh" she replied, and with that the Ferris wheel started moving again. She relaxed a little. After we got off we walked home.
(Abby's P.O.V.)
Finally the Ferris wheel started moving. We must've been up there for 20 minutes at least. My legs were asleep when we got off, and I probably would've fallen if it wasn't for Jacob who caught me. "You ok?" He asked. I replied with a "Yeah thanks" "No problem" We walked home after that. Almost in silence. We were a block away from our houses when he finally said something. He must've done some pretty deep thinking. "Abby" "Yeah?" "Thanks for what you did tonight. You really got Darcy off my back." "Anytime" I said. He walked me too my door. "Thanks for tonight" I said. looking down at this cute little teddy bear. "Anytime" he replied smirking. It looked like he was just about to turn around and leave but instead he put his hands around my waist and hugged me. I was shocked at first but I quickly relaxed and put my head on his shoulder. He felt warm and nice. We continued to hug for twenty more seconds and then he let go. "Hey give me your phone." He said "why" "I'm gonna put my number in it." "Okay" I said unlocking my phone and handing it to him. He put his number in and I texted it to make sure it worked. His phone dinged a second later. He grinned. He simply said "See you tomorrow" and walked away. I went inside my house and got ready for bed, carefully putting the teddy bear in my window so when he looked over he could see it. As I did that I realized something. I kind of liked Jacob. He was a good guy.
