Chapter 13

As we pack I learn a little more about Cora - her likes, dislike and the places she been in the world- that was mostly of what our conversation consisted of , I could tell she wanted to know more about me but didn't want to push me to much afraid I might just with draw again.

I even told her about the dream I had with the mysterious man who spoke to me in Italian, I sighed dreamily at the memory of the dream. Cora smiles as I told her all of it, she then told me of how she came to met Robert I watch as her eyes get this far away look and smile a smile that has seen many happy days.

I envy her happiness hoping one day I to will find my special someone, one who can show me a type of love that every time I think of him I to can have a faraway look and smile that can install envy into those who haven't found their on and only, one like Cora's.

We were silent as we packed my bags, yes, bags plural turns out we shopped so much I have two huge suit cases plus a purse to hold my 'to kill a mocking bird' book and the phone which Robert gave me.

"Ah, we're done!" said Cora astonished at how time flew as we packed

"Yes!" I say with triumph "thank you, Cora" I say turning to hug her, at first she's shocked but wastes no time getting her bearings and hugging me back.

***Knock***knock***knock***

"Can I come in" I hear Lana sing from outside, there was a pause"I've brought Starbucks" she said in a slick way of trying to buy her way in.

I shake my head at my friends' silly ways of bribery, I open the door and see her holding four different drinks in a cup holder with one hand and the other typing on a touch screen phone, I marvel at her being able to multitask.

"Hay! So I see you've packed, aren't you excited? Well, I am! Can you believe it? We are going to Everlor and me your Guar- Best friend going with you" she said as she gave me and Cora a hug whilst type.

I giggle at my friends' excitement "What's with the cool drink?" I say trying to suppress my laughter

"I think this is my queue to leave" said Cora giving me a wink as she walks out "I will see you girls in an Hours so be ready to leave then" she said as the clicks closed behind her.

"Okay "we say in unison

"Well, I didn't know what you liked and from our conversation this morning I knew you like chocolate, vanilla anything and hate strawberries - so I found four things that I thought you might just like" she said as she sat on the couch and laid the four cups in front of me on the mini table.

"Okay I'll try them, if you promise not to laugh at what I'm going to ask you" I say feeling a blush come on.

"You're on your period and you need pads?"

"No!" I say quickly, the blush deepening "it's the phone, the phone Robert bought me.....I....I don't know how to you it" I say feeling embarrassment

"Oh Keira it's okay, it's like using any other phone it's just touch screen" she say looking at the box in which the phone is in

"I know that it's just.......I've never had a phone before" I say feeling ashamed and embarrassed "My family was never really able to afford a phone for all of us just my father had one"

"Oh it's okay, I didn't have my first phone until I was 13" Lana said smiling "I'm just going to charge it now and in the plane I'll explain how it works, you cool with that?" I smile grateful that she hadn't called me out on that.

"Okay so let's start with this one?" I say pointing at the one with cream on top

time flew by as we spoke and gossiped, I laugh and she giggled it felt like it was meant to be. We even had matching birthmarks which she said was a sign that this was meant to happen, I even told her about my mystery dream guy.
