*Christine's POV*
The guards lead me up a cold, dark stone staircase, causing me to shiver slightly. Why would the king do this? He must suspect something or else I wouldn't be going to a tower in his castle. But if he finds out about Erik.......not only for helping me, but his face.

The guards come to a sudden halt pulling me from my thoughts. A guard is pulling out a ring of keys in front of a wooden door with a black metal doorknob. He puts the key in the lock and opens the door. The two guards push me in and close the door, the sound of a lock clicking following.

I don't try to knock on the door and call for help; I know no one will help me. So instead, I look around the room. The room could be part of a small house, if it wasn't in a tower. The room is not very big, but it is surprisingly big for being a cell. There is a small fireplace across the room from me with a small straw bed next to it. On the opposite side of the room is a barred window, which is letting little light. An old, dark wooden chair sits under the window with an equally old and dark wooden table next to it with two sheets of music on it.

I walk over to the table and pick up the two sheets of read the title of the song, Love Never Dies. Sighing, I walk over the window and sit in the chair. I look down at the music and begin to hum the song as I read the lyrics. The song is beautiful, it's about a love that doesn't die no matter what happens. Why would the king have me sing this song? Looking at the top of the sheet, I find the composer, Mr. Y.

My mind doesn't linger on the song for long though. I begin to worry about Erik. He probably thinks I'm dead or something.  I hope he's okay.

*Erik's POV*

I continue to follow the sound of footsteps before they suddenly come to a halt. I hear the faint noise of keys clanging before a door opening. Found it! I continue walking forward before I run into something hard in front of me. Looking in front of me, I see a stone wall.

Confused, I look to my left and right to see the same stone wall. It's a dead end. I'm about to give up and try to find another when I realize something. Why would they have a path lead to a wall?

I turn to the wall again and begin to push it. A second later the wall gives way, a opens slightly to reveal that it is a door. Smiling, I push harder until the door opens completely. I walk through the doorway and push it so it is almost completely closed, so I can make a quick escape if I need to. The door leads to a dark staircase, so I quietly make my way up the stairs.

At the top of the staircase, I see a door. Hoping it's where Christine is, I quickly climb the last few stairs and rush to the door. I knock on the door.

*Christine's POV*

I hear a knock on the door. My whole body freezes. Who could possibly be here?

"Christine," I hear a familiar voice say. "Are you in here?"

I run to the door. "Yes," I say on the verge of tears. He found me! "I'm so glad you're here."

"I'm just glad I found you," I hear Erik say.

"Can you get me out," I ask.

I hear the doorknob rattle before Erik replies. "I could if I had the key or a skinny piece of metal," he says.

I sigh and then remember the small pins the maid put in my hair to keep a few strands back. I pull two out and get on my knees. "Will these work," I ask as I slide the pins under the door.
