Luke's POV
Michael was sitting silently on my bed when I walked in bearing hot chocolate. I immediately knew they were uncomfortable, I had known them so long that I could just tell pretty much straight away. "You okay?" I asked quietly, placing the hot mug in their hands and wrapping an arm around their shoulder. "Can you get me some of my spare clothes?" They muttered, referring to their small suitcase full of everything and anything that they could possibly need while staying over. I went to my wardrobe, taking it out and offering it to them with a small smile. "Girl" Michael mumbled quietly as she searched through the clothes, deciding what she wanted to put on. I offered to leave the room to allow her to change but she shook her head, asking me to stay. It wasn't unusual for us to see each other naked but we're always considerate of how the other feels about it, just incase they don't feel overly comfortable in their body at that particular time. It's one of the greatest parts of our relationship. We really care for each others feelings. I snapped out of my thoughts as I saw Michael rummaging almost desperately through the suitcase and I immediately moved closer to her "Do you need help finding something, love?" I asked, grabbing her hand to stop her search momentarily. "I can't find my underwear" She blushed and so did I but I began to search nonetheless. Soon I held a white lacy thong up to her with a small wink and a giggle as she blushed, muttering a shy "Thank you"
Once Michael finished changing into her more 'feminine' clothing, I decided it was time to be honest. The fact that she looked particularly beautiful at that moment made it all the more difficult for me as I would stutter every time I looked her in the eyes and saw how bright they were. I had spent the entire walk home from the park planning and silently rehearsing exactly what I would say but now that she was sitting in front of me, waiting for me to say something, my mind was blank. How do you tell someone you're in love with them? Is there like a handbook or something? Am I rushing into this too quickly?
Michael's POV
I sat comfortably on the bed, cautiously watching Luke as he paced around the room. "Are you okay?" I asked, feeling slightly concerned. "Me? Who? What? Yes." He answered, confusing me even more. "Um okay then..." I muttered, starting to climb under the covers of his bed, deciding to take a nap. "No, Mikey, wait." He practically shouted, causing me to flinch. "Oh my God I'm so sorry babe I didn't mean to be loud I just...I need to tell you something, I just don't know how..." He trailed off. Remembering how he had comforted me and encouraged me to tell him what was going on when I finally admitted to myself that I was genderfluid, I decided it was my turn to be helpful.
"You know, no matter what it is, nothing is going to change right? Because you have been my best friend for as long as I can remember and absolutely nothing could ever change that. You mean the world to me Luke and I don't want to force you into telling me what is on your mind that's making you stressed and anxious but I do want you to know that you can tell me and I won't judge you. I never will. I just want to be here for you like you always are for me. I love you" I finished my speech, smiling at him and catching his arm as he stood before me, pulling him down beside me on the bed. "Okay...I'll tell you..just please...please don't hate me" He begged. I scoffed jokingly, muttering under my breath about how my wonderful heartfelt speech was disregarded. "Of course" I assured, placing my dainty hand on his leg and smiling at him, waiting for him to tell me what was going on.Luke's POV
