Once I got to class and Mrs. Jacobs started talking about boring stuff about her life like, why she started teaching and about her family. I just sat there in silence I secretly played on my phone while she was talking but before I knew it she was walking over to me and telling me to say my name and three interesting facts about me. So I stood up, and spoke clearly with confidence "Hi my name is Megan! I was born in Florida, I have one brother and he's dating my nanny, and my parents work a lot so...yeah" then I sat down and I started to feel a little sad because the necklace I was wearing reminded me of my parents and how they were at work and weren't here for my first day. I turned my attention back towards the teacher. This time actually interested in what she had to say. Then all of the sudden, on the intercom, they said " 1st period teachers please escort your students to the gym" so Mrs. Jacobs started walking us to the gym where the assembly was being held. Once we entered the crowded gym, I tried to look for Kylie and Natalie but I couldn't find them, once again. So I just sat with my class. I didn't really know anyone in my class, so I just sat next to this guy named Jake. "Hey you're Megan right?" He spoke in a clear soft voice. "Yeah my name is Megan, and your name is..." "Jake. Jake Pullman" he was really cute he had brown Hair and he was tall and very handsome. I knew flirting was wrong because I already had a boyfriend, but things have been complicated with Brett. We don't talk a lot like we used too and I don't feel attracted to him anymore. So I knew it was wrong but I kind of kept flirting, I really liked Jake, but I wasn't gonna risk things with Brett. So I just kept getting to know Jake and by the time the assembly had started we had become very close. Then I spotted Brett across the gym glaring at me and Jake. I stopped talking to Jake and started to pay attention to the principal talking about school rules and other boring stuff. When the assembly was finished we walked to our lockers to go to second period. Before I left Jake to walk to my locker he gave me a hug and said goodbye. I felt as if it was wrong to give me a hug but he's my friend (crush) so I excepted it. Then I rushed to my locker so I wouldn't be late to class and my next class was Life science.
