Falling Hard

Chapter 2

Alex's POV

I feel a pain in my ribs, I slowly open my eyes and see white I slowly turn my head and see Lindsey and Alec sitting in the chairs.

"hey" Lindsey says and walks up to me. I look at Alec and see him bouncing his leg up and down like he is really nervous or something.

"Hi what happened?" I ask

"Alec heard screaming so he ran into your house and saw you lying on the floor, he says you said Alec before you fainted"

"Oh, I was cooking and I slipped and burnt my hand I must've knocked my head on the counter but i'm fine, thank you Alec"
The next thing I know Alec jumps off his chair and runs out of my hospital room and slams the door shut.

"he has been really nervous and he kept asking the nurses if he could see you. He almost punched the doctor but they had security drag him out." said Lindsey

Alec's POV

I heard screaming next door at Alex's house then I heard a car drive away, I thought i should go check it out
I walk up to the door I knock for a couple times and I don't hear anything so I walk in and see Alex laying on the floor, bloody and beaten.

I shake her and say Alex Alex!! but she doesn't do anything then she slowly opens her eyes and says "Alec" and faints.
I grab her and carry her bridal style and run into my car and drive to the hospital.

I pull up at the hospital and start yelling "HELP! HELP! SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED TO HER SOMEONE HELP!" I see nurses and doctors running up with a stretcher and they try pulling her out of my arms and I finally decide to let go of her.

I run on one side of the stretcher until a doctor runs infront of me and tells me I need to stay here and i finally gave up.
I called Lindsey and told her what happened. 15 minutes later I see her running into the hospital I get up and she says "is she alright"

"I-I don't know they won't let me in" i say trying to hold in my tears, god im such a baby.

The nurse says we can come in and tells us what what was wrong but I wasn't listening because I ran to her room as fast as I could.

I open the door and see her pale skinny body laying there so still.

It's been 2 days and she still hasn't woken up. Lindsey hasn't left yet and I haven't either nor have I slept.

All of a sudden I see Alex moving and lindsey walks over to her and says 'hey'

I just zone out until I hear Alex say thank you alec and I jump off my chair and run off. It was to much to see her like that.

Right now i'm on my way home I walked because I didn't want to drive. I get home and hear my older brother Jeremy, I forgot he was coming to visit for thanksgiving.

"Hey bro" said Jeremy we bro hug.

"Hey Jer thought you were coming tomorrow?"

"No i wanted to surprise mom and dad even though we will probably end up having thanksgiving with Sandra our maid again"

"I think we should invite Alex over! Her dad will probably be working or something and we wouldn't want our neighbor to be alone now would we?" I say

"hmm sounds good, I see you still have the biggest crush on her"

"what? no i don't she is gonna be back from the hospital tomorrow so I thought she would spend thanksgiving with us! Beside she has a couple bruised ribs and a broken foot so she has to have crutches"

"okay whatever helps you sleep at night Alec" I roll my eyes and go upstairs to take a shower.

Well I guess we will be having Alex over for thanksgiving weather she likes it or not.
