alone ;; the franklin electric

When I woke up, all I saw were fields and green, instead of the usual city of New York.

"Steve, where are we?" I asked, walking alongside my best friend.

"Safe house," he replied, unsure of the place himself.

There was a little house in the distance, and a barn beside it. It looked cozy.

Clint led the way into the house, not bothering to see if it was unlocked. It was as if he knew it wouldn't be locked because he walked in like he's been there before.

"Honey, I'm home," he called out.

A woman with brunette hair came out from the kitchen. She wobbled up to Clint, squishing him into a hug. She was very pregnant, which made her glow with happiness.

"Hey," she greeted Clint, kissing him lightly. All of the team was now silent, except for Tony, who always finds a need to add in some stupid comment of his.

"Company," Clint told her, nodding over at us. "Sorry didn't call ahead."

"This is an agent of some kind," Tony said, eyeing the pregnant woman.

"Guys, this is Laura," Clint said, introducing the woman.

"I know all of your names," she smiled sheepishly, her brown eyes coming to look over all of us.

Then there was the sound of loud footsteps coming down the hall. Two children came running in, one a boy and the other a girl. Clint picked the little girl up, setting her on his hip.

"Dad!"

My eyes widened as I glanced up at Steve and Thor, just in time to witness their shocked faces.

"These are...smaller agents," Tony said, eyebrows furrowed.

"Did you bring Auntie Nat?"

"I'm utterly confused," I whisper, earning a nod from Steve.

I sat on the window ledge inside the room I'd be staying in. I stared down at the small device in my hand, my finger hovering over his name.

Before I could decide what to do, the screen of the device changed to show my brother's face. I grinned, pressing the answer button. His face was then projected out in front of me, showing that he was on his ship and alone. Well, alone besides the tiny pot that held Groot in the background.

"Peter," I breathed out, happy to hear from him.

"Hey little sis," he said, a smirk covering his face. "What're you up to?"

"I'm not doing much," I shrugged, looking out at the tree line outside. "Just fighting a metal robot Tony created. What about you?" I looked back to him, waiting for his response.

"Just got done doing some adventuring," he chuckled.

It was silent for a while, just us taking in each other's appearance. It's been so long since we've seen each other, and now we're trying to make up for all that lost time.
