I was in a dilemma. The biggest dilemma I had ever had ever had to face including running away from home. I felt a burning tear splash on my red cheek and another flood my eye as the man ran away from the crime scene. If I go to the police with this evidence, I will be discovered and may be put into care or even worse, taken home, but if not, this astonishing murder will remain unsolved.
Apparently the man called the police, lying about this terror-horror story, it still makes my spine tingle and freeze like a giant spider is crawling up my back when I think about it. He lied that his 'girlfriend' was mysteriously missing and that he was at home waiting for her to come back, but he knew she would never come back, except as a ghost.
The police were everywhere but I couldn't be seen. There were small search parties and dozens of bright torches, flashing in every direction. A small boy screamed out a name that echoed across the whole town. It was then, and only then when I found out her name. Rosa Barkle, she was my sister.
