Marvyll bolted out of his home, racing away from his owner.
She screamed after him in panic, and he heard her paws thumping against the ground after him, but he was long gone.
He ran along the road, then bolted across the large road, to the other side. He slowed his pace, and walked into the forest, where the pretty she-cat would be.
He suddenly heard voices, and froze, then darted up a tree, crouching on the lowest branch. A grey she-cat was walking by, a brown tom beside her.
Featherstorm! he thought gleefully, staring at her sleek fur in admiration.
Featherstorm paused, her whiskers twitching, then glanced up at him, her eyes glowing. She murmured something to the other tom, and he raced off.
Marvyll leaped down, and looked at her.
"Thought a kittypet like you would be inside." Featherstorm purred, looking at his freshly groomed fur.
"Well, it's been multiple months since I've been outside. Well, almost a year. I've been wanting to go outside since a few months in, but my stupid owner didn't notice." He chuckled.
Featherstorm brushed against him, and the two climbed back up the tree and sat on a branch. They watched as snow fell across the land, falling on all the pine trees.
They were perfect together.

Marvyll raced into the woods, his paws crunching against the leaves. It's nearly been a year since he's been seeing Featherstorm.
He ran into the woods, darting past trees, and ran into a small ball of fluff.
The small cat shrieked in surprise, and tumbled backwards, rolling down towards the river.
He blinked, his fur bushing up, but he didn't make a move to help her.
"Snowypaw!" a familiar voice yowled, and Featherstorm shot past him towards the bundle of fur.
"Featherstorm! Help!" it screamed, and Marvyll widened his eyes as he saw her ice blue eyes.
"Marvyll! Help her!" Featherstorm pleaded, racing along the edge as the cat was swept away by the ice cold water.
Marvyll darted forwards, and leaped into the water, knowing that this was his kitten. He hated water, but he had to protect his daughter. He grasped her white scruff, and grabbed onto a rock.
Featherstorm leaped onto the rock, and pulled Snowypaw out, where she stumbled onto the shore with the help from some other small cats. She then helped Marvyll out.
"Featherstorm, what happened?" A gruff voice made Marvyll look up. A dark brown tom stared down at him.
Multiple scarred cats crowded around the two.
"Raggedstar, it's fine." Featherstorm rolled her eyes at the large tom.
He rolled his eyes back at her, and walked over to Snowypaw.
Marvyll narrowed his eyes, and watched Raggedstar.
"Calm down, Marvyll, he's my son." Featherstorm laughed, nudging him.
Marvyll glanced at her. "How old are you?" he muttered.
She cuffed his ear, her eyes lit with amusement.
"You two. Come." Raggedstar commanded, glaring at Marvyll.
The snowshoe cat glanced at his mate in worry, and she shrugged.
