Bluefur watched her mate cross the clearing towards their kits.

"Thrushpelt!" Oakkit squealed. Yes, she was named after Oakheart. Bluefur almost became mates with him, but they decided to just become friends.

"Hello, Oakkit." Thrushpelt murmured, nuzzling his light brown daughter.

"We're becoming apprentices today!" Snowkit said, flicking her black tail tip.

"I want my mentor to be Thistleclaw!" Blazekit chirped, bouncing on his white paws. "He's really good at fighting!"

Bluefur glanced at Thrushpelt in alarm, and he had the same look on his face.

"I'm going to go speak to Sunstar about mentors, I'll be back in a moment." Bluefur said stiffly, then hurried off.

"Featherwhisker! Tawnyspots has a fever!" Spottedpaw's voice sounded, and Bluefur saw the medicine cat hurry into his den.

"Bluefur?" Sunstar said as she entered the den. "What can I do for you?"

"This may seem greedy of me, but I need to know who the mentors are going to be." She meowed.

"Why?"

"Sunstar, I'll explain once you tell me." Bluefur's ear twitched.

"Okay. Rosetail will mentor Oakkit, Dappletail will mentor Snowkit, Smallear will mentor Blazekit and Thistleclaw will mentor Chirpkit." Sunstar meowed, still looking puzzled.

"No! Not Thistleclaw! Sunstar, you know what he did to Tigerclaw and Whitestorm, you can't give him Chirpkit."

"I thought it would make Chirpkit more confident." Sunstar flicked his tail side to side.

"Thistleclaw blames me for Snowfur's death! Do you know what he'll do to Chirpkit? He wants revenge, Sunstar!"

"I am going to make Thistleclaw deputy, so, he must have an apprentice." Sunstar rose to his paws, his ears back.

Bluefur widened her eyes, her fur bushing up. "Fine, it's on you if any of our warriors die from Thistleclaw's recklessness." She then stalked out.

My poor kits. My poor Clan. Only I know what's going to happen to them, Bluefur thought.

Thistleclaw stood on top of Highrock. "Let all cats gather!" he yowled.

Bluefur ducked out of the warriors den, Thrushpelt following. They saw their kits in a small group, staring at Thistleclaw.

Chirppaw had his bright blue eyes wide with anxiety, his fur bushed up.

Oakpaw brushed against him, her ears flat, while Blazepaw had his head low.

"Where's Snowpaw?" Bluefur asked.

"U-up.. w-with.. Th-Thistleclaw.." Oakpaw whimpered.

Bluefur flung her head up, her eyes wide. She noticed Snowpaw cowering beside Thistleclaw, her fur bushed out in terror.

"This apprentice injured Sunstar at the battle today. She turned on him and attacked him, injuring him so much that I, the loyal deputy, had to carry him back." Thistleclaw announced, though his eyes were narrow with scorn as he gazed at the medicine den where Sunstar lay inside.

"I-I didn't!" Snowpaw squeaked.

Thistleclaw glanced at her. "Don't make excuses, traitor." He glared fiercely at her, his tail lashing. "Now, to punish her, I shall injure then exile her."

Snowpaw's green eyes went wide, and she let out a whimper of protest. "P-please, Thistleclaw.." She pleaded softly.

Thistleclaw hid his smirk, and lashed out at her, knocking her off the Highrock.

Snowpaw shrieked as she fell, but it was cut off as she slammed into the ground. Thistleclaw leaped down beside her, and slashed her sides and her legs.

"Thistleclaw! Thistleclaw stop!" Bluefur screamed at him.

Thrushpelt was prepared to attack the deputy in order to save his daughter.

Snowpaw wailed in agony as Thistleclaw snatched her small body up, and slammed her against the Highrock.

"Thistleclaw!" The Clan was beginning to be outraged and terrified.

Snowpaw slumped to the ground in defeat, her eyes trying to stay open, but they soon closed when she fell into unconsciousness.

"Dumb apprentice. Should have run off when she could." Thistleclaw sighed.

Bluefur launched herself at Thistleclaw, clawing his eyes. "How could you attack her?" she yowled.

Thistleclaw tried to shake her off, but she clung on to him.

"She's only an apprentice! I knew you wanted revenge!"

Thrushpelt pulled her off him, and Thistleclaw glared at her, blood running down his face.

Bluefur hurried to Snowpaw, and shoved past every cat, then crouched beside her daughter. "Snowpaw? Snowpaw, dear, can you hear me?"

Snowpaw's eyes fluttered open. "Mama?" she asked, her green eyes dull.

"Yes, it's me. Look, it's going to be okay, Spottedleaf and Featherwhisker will treat you."

"Don't worry... about it.." Snowpaw murmured, her white fur stained by blood.

"Thrushpelt, get Spottedleaf and Featherwhisker!" Bluefur screeched, and Thrushpelt raced off to find the two.

Oakpaw led her two brothers over, and crouched beside their little sister.

"You three comfort her, I need to go do something." Bluefur meowed, then hurried off to the medicine den.

Sunstar lay in a nest of soft moss, his claws torn and his body battered. His eyes were glazed and he was staring at something in the distance.

"Sunstar." Bluefur said.

Sunstar glanced up, blinking at her. "Bluefur, I was wondering where you were."

"What does that mean?"

"Nothing." He chuckled weakly. "Am I not allowed to want to see my former apprentice visit me?"

"Yeah, whatever." Bluefur said coldly. "Do you know what you've done?" she hissed.

"What happened?" Sunstar said.

"Thistleclaw pretty much murder Snowpaw! Right in front of us!"

"Oh, Bluefur. I'm so sorry." Sunstar said, closing his eyes. "As you can see I'm passing slowly, so, I need to say this now."

"Sunstar?" Bluefur leaned forwards.

"From this moment on, Thistleclaw is no longer deputy. Bluefur shall take his place as deputy." Sunstar murmured. "I know I'm right about, Bluefur. Goodbye, and lead well." He whispered, then his sides fell still.

"Sunstar?" Bluefur was shocked, she turned back to the clearing, and saw Snowpaw was getting treated.

So, I'm supposed to fix this I suppose. First, let's go deal with Thistleclaw. Bluefur flexed her claws, and walked past the clearing and outside into the forest where Thistleclaw went.

I did it in one day! WOW! Only 20 minutes. Anyways, hope ya like it. Oh, and I know Thrushy wasn't in it much, but he is a wonderful father. This basically just proved that Bluestar made the right decision to give Stonekit and Mistykit away, even if it caused pain.
