Daze And Confused

Sirens, Sirens, Sirens.

*Eliana's P.O.V,*

"Alright, we're going to have to figure out how to get out of here before it gets pitch black and we all starve and piss our pants. Any ideas?" Jack had gotten up and said "Well I think we first have to consider-" BANG BANG! I fell to the floor and looked up. The window was open, and a mysterious boy had tackled me. Before I could protest and ask who he was I heard Zoey scream. "Chris! CHRIS! WAKE UP! WAKE UP DAMMIT!" I looked over across the room to see Zoey shaking chris by his shoulders begging him to wake up. Blood was coming out from his chest and head continuously. We looked around, no one had a gun. Alice stood up behind Daniel. "Guys... Where's Mr. Green?"

We looked around, he wasn't here. Suddenly I felt the boy getting off of me, but to be held by the neck by Daniel. "Who the fuck are you?!" He kept coughing and in between the coughs he had said "W-William." Quickly I shoved Daniel to make him let go of him. He gasped for air and I grabbed him by the shoulders. "So, William, how did you get here?" He pointed towards the window he came through. "I'm from Block F, I managed to escape before.." I looked at him,"Before what?" He sat down and we all surrounded him. He sighed, "Please, we dont know whats going on."

He signed again. "Alright.. Down at Block F, the sirens went off, but only at Block F. I heard shootings outside my door, so I peaked out and I saw all the patients from there... Being shot at, shooting back, running.." You could feel everyone's hair standing up. "A-and the nurses..?" Said Reece. "They all went behind, the people that were shooting at them, they.. Provided back up.. Nursed the ones that got attacked by patients back to help." Everyone stood there, In shock.

"How do we know we can trust him?" We all turned to Zoey, who had been sitting next to Chris's dead body. "He just came in here out of no where somehow saving Eliana's life, but got Chris killed. How the fuck are we going to trust him!?" I took a step forward. "Zoey.. I'm sorry about Chris.. But he's the best chance we have. Its the only thing that makes sense right now."

*Zoey's P.O.V."

I hung my head down low. Tears streaming down my face, I won't face them like this. "So, even if what he says is true, what do we do?" We all looked at each other. "Well, all we gotta-" William spoke until the intercom had come on, and someone with a low deep voice spoke.

"Do you ever wonder, why the world is the way it is?
Ever wonder why, you're all sick, and everyone else seems to be perfectly fine? Well there's no need to wonder anymore. The world is tired of you. Of, "Sick Minds."
Under the order of the president, we're allowed to kill you all, the disease of the worlds Society."

We all looked at each other in shock. "Can they really do that..?" Alice asked. Reece looked out the window. "Yeah. Yeah they can. The public doesn't know though, this is a secret." We turned to Reece and Jeremiah spoke. "How do you know that?" Reece looked at all of us. "Look out there, do you see anyone protesting!? Our families!? News reporters!? Of course no one knows it would cause too many problems for the government!"

Zoey turned to William, "Alright, what do we do?" Everyone stood there, waiting to be told what to do. "We need to get the door to open somehow." Suddenly, Alice opened the door, "I've been waiting for you guys to end your discussion.. I've always known how to open these doors.." Everyone smiled, Daniel hugged Alice then kissed her head. "Gotta love ya Alice." Everyone together slowly made there way out, "where are we gonna go?" Eliana whispered. Just before William could answer, fire started behind us, then explosions on the side, everyone ran and ran. It started to become darker and darker and harder to breathe with all the smoke getting in the air.

Everyone started coughing, "this way!" William had opened a door to the outside, just before I ran outside, I turned back and saw a stampede of... People.. Running through the fire. Shooting

Shooting at us.
