The wind howled. Hundreds of wails under the rainstorm. Blinding flashes of lightnings. Raindrops crashes against gravity.
Chilled air floats around. Missing people who shouldn't be missed. Warm breath against the cold glass. Fingerprints on the liquor case.
"I hate you."
"I hate that I want you."
"But nobody else could ever replace you."
Dawn disappeared from sight. The blue sky replaced by the mulling shades of grey. Creaks of tree branches hitting each other. The night smells cold.
"I just want to say that I was wrong."
"I know."
"I just want you to know."
Lights flickered and went off one by one. Water splashes against the stone wall. A leap of faith from the moonlit bridge.
"Stay."
"You're not going to leave me."
"I've been watching you changing."
An explosion went off somewhere. Thunders boomed violently. Shrieks of the old roof calmed down nothing but the bugs. Eyelids flutter up.
"It doesn't matter who we are."
"We'll be lodging through the night."
"I can't bring myself to sleep."
Hearts jumped at the sudden crackle of loud breeze. Huddled yet so distant. The world turns upside down, again, again, again. We have lost count.
"There's only one way home."
"I can sleep back and you'll be safe."
"My mind, I'm losing it."
