I plaited my hair in the mirror. Today was Friday— The day that Skylar and I had to do our trial, and the day someone was leaving camp.

I didn't want anyone to go, the majority of us had bonded so quickly.

I heard Skylar call my name, so I quickly jogged down to camp. We said our goodbyes and left to go and do our trial.

Skylar and I walked into the clearing, where we were greeted by Ant and Dec.

"Hello ladies!" Dec greeted us. "Welcome to the trial 'Steps to hell'. As you know, you two got the majority vote, so that means that you will both have to compete for immunity from the first vote off." He told us as he gestured to the two tank like things that were just to the left of him. "But Skylar, you received the most votes so you will have to pick which teams you would like to banish to Snake Rock, no matter if you win or loose, but we'll explain that later— after the trial"

"Thats not fair!" Skylar covered her face with her hands and sighed. "Okay, I'm good, lets do this" She recovered quickly.

Ant chuckled. "You will both race to collect three stars, which you will have to place into the ledge next to the entrance to your tunnel. Once you have collected all three stars, you will have to ring the bell."

"But theres a twist" Dec smirked. "You will have to release the star at the end using your tongue."

Oh god, a twist. There's always a twist. Why does there always have to be a twist?

Skylar and I stood at the entrances of our transparent tunnels, which were filled with crabs and animal organs.

I stood in a starting position, ready to start. I wanted to win this trial, I wanted immunity.

I suddenly heard a loud buzzer that rattled around the jungle— Which signified the start of our challenge.

I glanced to my left and saw Skylar already starting to crawl through her tunnel.

"Oh crap!" I said aloud as I scrambled to pull open the door and jump inside.

I scampered through animal organs, which squished under my hands. I held my breath as I went, jumping over a plank of wood and crawling past a bunch of crabs.

I quickly tried to get the first star off of the pole that it was screwed onto. I was only half way done when I noticed the snakes that were lurking just below my head.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when the star clattered onto the bottom of the box where my head was.

I grabbed it, and resisting the urge to check how far through Skylar was, I got back to the ledge, where I placed my first star.

My knees were already sore, and I was already panting like mad. I continued on, and did the same thing twice more, ringing the bell as fast as I could after I finished.

Only seconds after I ran my bell did I hear Skylar's bell ring.

It must have been super close, but I was so relieved that I had won the immunity. Wait— I WON THE IMMUNITY!

"Congratulations Jess!" Ant smiled as I clambered out of the tube. "You have won yourself immunity from tomorrows vote off. Commiserations Skylar, it was a very close finish, but you will have to enjoy the company that you will have in Snake Rock"

"But now you have the pleasure of choosing which three teams are sent to Snake Rock with you, and which team is allowed to stay in Crock Creek, with Jess." Dec explained.

I couldn't hear Skylar speaking, over the sound of my own breath and my heart beating in my chest. I bent over and rested both palms of my hands on my knees, before standing up and fanning my face with my hand.

"I think I'm going to choose the Pink team, for immunity" Skylar told Ant and Dec. "Which means I'm going to send the Green team, the Yellow team and the Purple team to Snake Rock"

"Okay, well, good job to the both of you, we'll see you tomorrow" Ant waved us off.

We arrived back at camp, and Skylar broke the bad news.

Everyone acted like they were absolutely fine with it, but it wasn't hard to tell that deep down, they were all unhappy with the fact that they would all have to face eviction.

//Skylar's Confession— Skylar slumped back in the seat. "I feel so awful for doing this, I really do. I feel like nobody deserves to go out, because nobody does." She sighed. "I haven't been here long but I feel like I've made a bad impression on everyone"//
