Luke pulled me into his arms and we both breathed a sigh a relief knowing we wouldn't have to fight anymore. "Well, I should probably head back to work." I slowly pulled away from him, wishing we could stay in the moment forever but poor Mikey was managing the cafe all by himself.
"Yeah, but we should really talk later." Luke's hands were firmly holding your shoulders.
"Definitely, what do you have in mind?"
"Well, I'm not sure right now but I have the whole day to figure out so just stop by my house at, around six?"
"Sounds great," I quickly kiss his cheek before hurrying back to the cafe. If I took too much longer I could loose my job and I really needed the money for college.
"So did you get everything sorted out?" Michael asks me, his eyebrows furrowed with concern.
"Yeah. Well, at lest for now. Thank you so much for covering for me, I owe you." For what feels like the first time in too long, I have a genuinely happy look and I'm in a optimistic mood for my future. Luke and I would work everything out and after some time I would mend things with Ashton, possibly setting him up with Jessica. We would all be happy and work together to fight all of life's obstacles off.

By the time I got off work and was ready I still had around half an hour so I called Jess for some advice. After having some good girl time with her gushing about guys and just being able to console someone, I was in a completely optimistic mood. I grabbed a jacket, heading out of my apartment and hailing a cab. I smiled out of the cab window as the driver navigated through San Francisco's busy streets.
"Alex!" Luke opened his door with the biggest smile I've seen in a while. "Close your eyes," before I could protest, one of his hands covered my eyes and the other slipped around my back. He turned me around and slowly walked me forward and sat me down. "Ready?" he whispered in my ear.
"I guess," as he removed his hands, the set up of his dining room came into view. "Wow," the room was lit by fairy lights hung around the room and a candle on the middle of the table. Luke had also made what looked like a delicious dinner and had a bouquet of roses in a vase. "This all so romantic, did you do it by yourself?"
"Well Calum helped me a little with the set up, but it was my idea," his hand nervously rubbed the back of his neck, hoping for your approval.
"I love it all the same," you pecked his cheek before motioning for him to sit down. "Don't just stand there you deserve to eat after all the work you put into this." Chuckling, Luke takes his seat across from you and takes one person of your hands in his.
"I love you, so, so, much and I hope you know that," he raised your hand to his lips, softly pecking the back of it. "But we should really talk and work this out."
"Yeah, but I'm hungry so let's eat first," I giggle before pulling my hand away and grabbing my fork. Luke laughs along with me as he too starts to eat.

After a delicious meal filled with talking and laughing, Luke cleared our dishes and I fiddled with the bracelet on my wrist.
"Sh*t!" You hear him curse under his breath in the kitchen.
"Everything okay Lukey?" You call out and walk over to the doorway of the kitchen.
"No, I forgot to chill our dessert so we won't be able to eat it."
"Oh that doesn't matter, it's fine."
