I jolted awake from my phone beeping non stop.
I unlocked my phone in order to see who it is.
"Good morning beautiful. Happy one year anniversary! :) I love you."messaged Nick
I awed as I smiled foolishly. I dialed him, I needed to hear his voice.
"Hello."he said in a happy tone
"Hey babe. Happy one year anniversary. I love you!"
"Love you too."I interrupted him before he could say anything else.
"Sorry I called you this early, but I just wanted to hear you're morning voice."I chortled
"Hahah. So later is anyone one going to be home besides you?"he asked
"Yeah my mom except Selena."I muttered
"Oh is there anyway you could get rid of her?"he asked
"I will try. I will text you."
"Alright. You try. Bye, love you."
"I love you too, bye."I said
I ran downstairs walking to the kitchen.
"Hey mom, I need you to do me a favor."I lied
"What is it?"
"We'll it's that's time of the month and I need you to do some things for me today."I ask
"Mmm I will do them but I won't be back till midnight. I have to do something."she said
I had the feeling she was lying but I wasn't sure. She sure was really good at lying...
"Alright. Thanks. If you don't mind I'm gonna go lay down. Cramps."I say
"Alright. Well I'm leaving in a bit so don't expect me to be here."she warned

It was the middle of May and the weather was perfect. Not to hot nor to cold just right. I headed to my walk in closet and was having a hard time on what to wear. I slipped on some skinny jeans and and put on a white summery yet casual top. I grabbed my toms and slipped them on as well.
After curling my hair I put on the necklace he gave me few months ago. I tried on my mini black heart shaped earrings. I applied mascara and eyeliner. Afterwards, I raced downstair where I see my mom opening and closing cabinets.
"Are you having trouble looking for something?"I ask anxiously
"Hey sweetie. Umm no don't worry about it. You sure look like you're going on a date."she smiled guilty trying to change the subject.
"Haha. I'm sure not. Just gonna hang at home like this that way I don't feel like crap."I lied
"Strange girl."she said as she handed me my plate.
"So mom..." I took deep breaths before I proceded.
"My friend and I were texting the other day, and well she asked me this. Is it bad to date you're sister's ex?"I lied
"We'll, I don't know about that. I'm pretty sure that breaking some sister or girl code. I don't know."she explained
"Oh."
"One last question."I added
"Yeah?" I felt as if she was on to me. It's probably just me.
"What would you do if you're family hid hurtful secrets from you?"I asked hoping she will spill her guts out.
