Perfect sunny afternoon, sorta of. What am I talking about? Not even close to perfect. If I could get the idea out of my head that I'm engaged. Walking right next to me was Miley, who had finally decided confront me after the Nick thing.
"I'm really sorry about what I did to you."apologized Miley
"Don't worry about it, the past is the past."I smile
"Awesome, you don't know how happy this makes me."she says in relief
"Great. So anything new? Besides your hair."I laugh
"Yeah I dyed it blonde haha. Um I'm dating Liam. Hemsworth. I don't know what else."she smiles
"Oh awesome. I love the blonde. Liam, he's cute."I smile
"Yeah he's a keeper..."she mutters
"So how about you anything new?"she asks
"Um, we'll I'm engaged...uh let's "I was interrupted
"What?! You're engaged? With who?!"she asks shock
"Josh, Josh Bowman."I answer
"What?!?"she screams as she spills her coffee on the ground.
"Yeah him, why?"I ask
"Oh nothing."she smiles falsely
"That surely wasn't nothing."I laugh
"It's just that I dated Josh before."she says
"Right, I know."I mumble
"And I- you know what, forget it."she hesitates.
"No tell me."I whine
"Uh-"she was interrupted by Josh. He presses his lips on my cheeks as he says hi.
"Hey."I smile
"What are you to doing here?"he asks
"Um nothing just some bonding time."I add
"Nice seeing you Miley."he smiled rather oddly
"Same goes to you."she mutters
"We'll I gotta go."adds Miley
"What I thought we were gonna hang out till 3:30."I questioned
"Um yeah, change of plans. See you tomorrow."she falsely smiles
"Alright, bye."
I look at Josh who snickered oddly.
"What?"he asks
"What was that all about?"I ask
"Nothing."he smiles nervously
"That wasn't nothing."I roll my eyes
"Is someone jealous?"he smirked
"No, but you can believe that if you want."I say
"She's just an ex. Don't worry about it."he smiles
"Ok."I mumble. I was looking for a reason to leave this guy but I can't find anything.
"Alright."he says as he presses his lips on mine.
"Could we not do this."I whisper as I push him away
"Nah."he laughs as he try's once again.
"Stop."I push.
"Someone is feisty."he smirked
"I'm just not in the mood."I said angrily
"You've been like this ever since we got engaged. Do you wanna get married?"he argued
"Ugh!"I rush off
"Come back!"he yells
"Leave me alone."I holler
He chases after but made it into an alley. Hid behind the dumpsters. Stay there till he left.
I raced home, trying to make sure no one spotted me.
I probably looked really stupid for running.
Suddenly I hear a honk from behind me.
I stop, my heart is beating fast. Sweat coming down my cheek. Cheeks burning red in the hot sun.
"Get in."yells Nick
I race to the car and jump in. He drives fast.
"Are you alright?"he asked worried
"Um, yes... No."I mutter.
"Ok, well I'm taking you somewhere else besides home. Don't feel it's safe for you there."he suggested
"Ok."
We drove for fifth-teen minutes. We glance at each other multiple times.
We both knew it was awkward. All I wanted to do was tell him how much I love him.
"Stop daydreaming!"I tell myself
"We're here."
"Where are we?"I ask
"My place no one knows about. Only you."he explains
"Ok."
He grabbed my arm, pulling me inside the house.
"Sit where ever you like."
"Thanks."
I sat on the couch, glancing around.
"Nice place."I compliment
"Thanks."
"Do you want anything to drink?"he asks
"Yes, water. Please."I answer
"Coming right up."
As he was grabbing my water, I turn off my phone. Didn't want Josh calling me, or tracking me.
"Here you go."he said as he handed my water and place himself next to me.
"Why were you running?"he asks
"Um, it's nothing."I mutter
He punches the couch.
"I know we aren't together but that doesn't mean I don't care for you."he breaths heavily
"Nick, you know I still in love you, right."I stutter, regretting that came out of my mouth.
My body began shaking.
He just looks into my eyes. His eyes were watering.
He grabs me close hugging me tightly.
My eyes close.
I felt safe and comfortable in his arms.
I couldn't resist.
I leaned in for a kiss.
As he let go: "are you sure?"
"Yes."
