Addicted to a Memory (Tavros X Reader)

Chapter 2- Safe Haven

(Tavros' POV, three weeks ago)

A/n: Call me lazy, but I'm only going to type like him when he actually types.

I sat down on the rough beach and placed my phone just out of reach of the waves.

I hit "shuffle" and listened in silence to the random song that began to play. (^^^VIDEO^^^)

Oceans apart

day after day

and I slowly go insane.

I hear your voice

on the line

but it doesn't stop the pain.

If I see you next to never,

how can we say forever?

I was glad no one came down to the beach. It had become a sort of safe haven for me after (f/n) left and my life pretty much fell apart.

Wherever you go,

what ever you do,

I will be right here waiting for you.

Whatever it takes,

or how my heart brakes,

I will be right here waiting for you...

I thought back to the last time I had actually seen her in real life. She had run back up to our street when her mom had called her. I occupied myself by drawing a heart in the sand and telling myself that one day I'd find the courage to tell her.

She had run back down to the beach almost immediately and held me tightly, making me confused but surprised in a nice way that was hard to explain. Then she promised me that when she found me again she would marry me. Just as I realized that this meant that she was leaving, probably for a really long time, her dad scooped her up and carried her away, and I yelled after her, "II'l wait as long as it takes!" Tears streamed down my face, and next thing I knew I was in a hospital bed and someone was trying to shake me awake.

The doctors told me I had passed out at the beach, probably from a heat stroke.

I wasn't really listening, because I was yelling, "(n/n)!" over and over and I ended up being tested for several mental disorders. That didn't help how freaked out I was.

My train of thought was interrupted by a loud *BZZZT BZZZT BZZZT* coming from my phone.

I wiped my eyes so that I could see the message.

I feel really evil right now for leaving a (kind of) cliffhanger like that. Oh well. >:)
