I was walking back from the skate park with Jack. We were still laughing about the look on Red's face when we tripped her.
"So you ready for school to start next week Jack?" I ask him.
"Hell no, of course not!" he replies.
"Then again, who is?!" he comments.
"So True!" I answer.
Just then I remembered some gossip I overheard in a conversation.
"Hey, guess what?" I say.
"What?" he asked.
"I heard we're getting two new students this year" I tell him what I had overheard.
"Well, that sounds tempting" Jack replies with his signature smirk.
"It sure does!" I answer right as we reach our street. Jack and I only live a few houses apart so we often walk home together.
"Well, see ya at school" I say.
"Yeah, see ya!" He replies.
After that I entered my house hoping that I would survive this year without anyone discovering my secret.
