Chapter One-
Again. I would be sent home for doing a large number of horrible things at school. I always did. It wasn't something that made you think, "Oh, he would never do that." That just wasn't who I was. I wasn't some sweet, loving, and kind son. I was far from that. I was the devil. A demon. A monster. Thats what they always called me. One of those three, to be exact. I didn't care. I really didn't. Forever I knew I'd be understood. Then she came into the household. She was worse to me. She was actually nice like the rest of them. That girl was normal.
I remember the day she stepped in the front door. My mother had ran over to her, I was coming down the stairs.
"Don't talk to him much. He's a monster." She whispered to my new sister. The word haunted me. I froze when the new one talked.
"He seems pretty nice to me." The girl said to my mother. My mother looked horrified.
"Please, don't. Don't look at him. Don't look in his eyes. He's a monster. He's nothing but trouble. Now you stay away from him." My mother hurried the girl into the kitchen. I saw the girl look straight into my eyes. I then went into the kitchen. They were there.
"Get out. You have no right to be in here, Adrian!" My mother held the girl back as she yelled at me.
"I'm sorry, Mother." I grabbed a can of beer from the box left on the floor from earlier. I wasn't so sure why the box was actually there. I went back up to my room. It happened to be the attic. My mother thought that if I was in the attic and not on the second level, she would be safe.
"I'm nothing but trouble." I rested on my bed as I sipped the beer can. I never really felt lonely up here. I had a few friends that my mother would only let in because she was dealthy afraid that they would beat her up. I heard somebody climb the stairs. I stood still, hoping it wasn't my mother.
"Hello?" It was the girl's voice. I watched as she climbed up into my room. I just stared at her.
"Why are you here? Remember, my mother said for you to stay away from me." I stood up and walked over to her.
"You don't seem dangerous at all, though." She said." I'm Bree."
"Well, I am." I moved the hair out of my face, to show her my eyes, and put my hand out to greet her." Adrian."
"Your eyes aren't blue?" Bree asked.
"Why would they be?"
"Your mom's eyes aren't."
"Oh. I have my dad's eyes." I answered.
"Where is your dad?" Why did she have to ask?
"The witch made him leave." I saw her just nod. I then left my room. The doorbell rang a moment later and I was at the door already.
"Hey Adrian. Is the witch home?" Amber, one of my friends, showed up. She looked better than ever.
"Yep. She got a daughter, too." I hugged her with one arm.
"Must be a nightmare living in this place." She took my arm off of her.
"You always say that." I leaded her up to my room.
"Only because you know it's true." Amber sighed as she stopped at the stairs.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Jason and I have been thinking for a few weeks. You know, I always talk about getting married to him. Well," She held up her hand to show an engagement ring.
"That's great." I smiled.
"Also, we're thinking about asking you something. You'll have to wait for that, though." Amber winked at me.
"I need some more beer." I ran down to the kitchen as Amber followed and I grabbed the beer package.
"I also may be pregnant." Amber said. I almost dropped the beer package.
"Okay, I don't want you two having sex every night if all I'm going to hear is moaning and other things related." Amber laughed at my comment. We both saw my mother right infront of us in a flash.
"Hey, Witch." Amber said, smiling.
"Hello, Monsters." My mom ran past us and sat in a chair, resting her head on the kitchen table. She cried loudly.
"Why is she a mother, again?" Amber asked.
"No idea." I went back up to my room and saw Bree sitting on my bed.
"Who's she?" Amber asked as she took one of my beer cans.
"My new sister." I sighed.
"The Witch is allowed to adopt? No way!" Amber laughed.
"She isn't a witch." Bree said.
"You don't even know." I pointed my finger to the stairs going out of my room. "Leave."
As Bree left we both sighed in relief.
"It truly is hell here."
