Chapter Three

"Anything wrong?" Amber asked as we sat across from each other at her kitchen table. I'd have to say her apartment was very nice. Even living with Jason. Jason was always the one to make a mess. I'd guess he still does, and Amber just cleans it up.

"No." I still remembered Alice. I remembered how I'd been in love with her for the longest time. I knew I had been heartbroken when she went missing. That sight of her tonight was one of those that would be locked in my memories forever.

"You should get back home. Jason and I need to get up in the morning for work. I would let you sleep here, but we're planning on something tonight." I knew what she meant by that.

"Ok. Too much information. See you tomorrow." I got up and left, grabbing my jacket that I'd left here one time. I ran back. Going through to alley once again. I hoped to see Alice. All I saw was the dead man. He looked un-eased. Not that I really cared much at all. When I got in the house my mother gave me a glare. I then went up to my room to find two girls sitting on my bed. Alice and Bree.

"Hello, Adrian." Alice smiled.

"Bree, go to bed. You need your sleep." I said. Bree left the room and I went to go sit my Alice. Her smile faded.

"Adrian," Alice started off," I'm so sorry."

"Sorry for what?" I was beyond confused.

"Adrian. I turned you into a monster like me." She put her arms around me, forcing a sudden embrace.

"Alice, you aren't a monster." I tried to comfort her a bit.

"Yes I am."  Alice wouldn't pull through! Why was she so sure she was a monster? In my eyes, she wasn't. In my eyes, she was still the fragile girl with a million problems. Me loving her enough had to be one of them.

"No. Stop saying that." I sighed.

"I will not stop saying that. Adrain, I'm a bloody vampire! I just turned you into one." Alice put rested her face in both her hands as she cried. I patted her back.

"It's fine. Seeing you, is way more important to me than turning into a vampire." I looked away from her, and my eyes looked straight at the stairs. Somebody was coming up. I was so sure my heart was going to pound like crazy in a few moments after that. It didn't, though. Niether did Alice's. My mother ran into the room and stabbed Alice. My eyes widened. Her death happened in one second. I was amazed how fast things happened. No blood came from her wound. I took the weapon and stabbed my own mother in the heart with it.

"Burn in hell." I whispered. I heard a giggle from behind. Alice wasn't dead. My fault for thinking so, I guess.

"Let's go, Adrian." Alice smiled."I need you to help me with something."

"Can Bree come?" I asked. Alice nodded. I went down to Bree's room and sighed.

"Adrian?" Bree looked beyond confused.

"We have to go." I said. I knew Bree trusted me enough to follow my orders. She grabbed a Root Beer and followed me outside. Alice was waiting for us.

"My friend will be here soon," Alice informed us. Soon? Her 'friend' was here in less than a minute.

"I'm Saleb." A very tall, yet teenager-looking man greeted us.

"Nice to meet you." Bree shook his hand. I then sighed.

" First it was Jason and Amber, now you two will be moaning during the night." Once I said that Saleb bursted with laughter.

"I'm not the kind of person to really enjoy sex." Saleb admitted. Bree's face was blushing like mad. Alice grabbed out attention.

"Saleb and I have been tracking down a few vampires who have lost every bit of their humanity." She said.

"Lost their humanity?" Bree asked.

" Humans bitten and turned into a vampire by vampires lower than purebloods, lose their humanity at a certian point. They become a creature that attacks every single human they see for their blood." Saleb explained.

" What about humans turned into vampires by purebloods?" I asked.

" They become purebloods as well." Alice sighed. We all walked down the street together.

" Are you a pureblood?" Bree took my words away from me, as soon as I was about to say them.

" Yes." Alice smiled."So is Saleb."

"So you're after the ones that lost their humanity because?" I had as many questions as Bree.

"We don't want them to kill every human avaliable." Saleb stopped.

"There's one." Alice pointed out.
