The child suddenly awoke
For there was a loud thump below.
He looked around, but heard a croak.
And just like all the snow,
The shriek was cold.
He carefully peeped beneath the bed
But the sight filled him with dread.
For there was a monster beneath his bed.
It had no eyes, giving the boy a fright
And wore a straight jacket, wrapped so tight.
The monster smiled with a bloody grin
At the boy who clutched his shin,
From the pee that came down.
The monster was scarier than a clown.
The thing rolled out onto its back,
But was soon welcomed with a smack.
The boy had used a base-ball bat
On the monsters head that went splat.
And so there was a monster on the floor,
But that was not all, for there were eyes at the door.
