Morals lost on killing

A/N this poem is inspired by The Walking Dead! It is basically pointing out that the morals they all once had have fully been obliterated. Enjoy!

We leave the trail, a bloody mess
Filling our minds with heavy stress
For we must kill to survive
In times like these where  we just want to thrive.

Life remains the same
But none shall call this a game
For among this life is nothing but pain
As all of this slowly puts us insane.

For how long can we keep killing
And giving our minds a filling
Before our moral catches  up
And our minds finally blow up?

It all just started with killing Walkers
Hiding our feelings among our heart's lockers
But soon transformed into a nightmare
As we kill our own without feeling a scare.

But what gave us a change in heart
To kill each other, tearing heavily apart?
For there is no changing the past
And these things will always last.

Our reputations will never be normal
Nor will we ever seem formal,
For we've sold out every moral
For killing humans which is beyond immoral.
