I received a text from Sam. I looked back at myself in the bathroom mirror
one last time. I head out downstairs to the living room before I turn the door knob my mom had asked
"Where are you going?" I replied " To go dance the night away with Sam." I can hear her scoff, I also tell
her that I'll be sleeping over as I head out to see Sam on her motorcycle. She takes off her helmet and
smiles. "Where to?" I ask as I received a helmet of my own. I hold onto her like I always do. "To a house
of drunken bodies." she says deviously. With that we were off to the house where their are people who are lost like
ourselves. I didn't realize we have had arrived until Sam climbed off of her motorcycle. I took off the
helmet and walked towards the cramped house with loud booming rock music. "Are you alright?"
Sam asked. I smirked and nodded as we entered the house. The smell became familiar that consists of
marijuana, cigarettes and of course alcohol. Ever since Ryan parties became a getaway. Before
parties seemed a waste of time. I didn't see what was the purpose, now I understand
why. The dancing all night with strangers. The smoking under the stars as we sing along to music,
parents call 'terrible'. Sam is now with some guy and by the look in her brown eyes she has chosen a
pair of lips to consume tonight. I for one head over to the overcrowded kitchen and get myself toxic in
a red classic cup. As I was about to exit the kitchen I was pulled on by the arm. Face to face with a devious smile and
breath that smells of whatever this guy had took. I didn't try to release his grip on my arm. I make out with
the guys I come across but never give my body the use of being touched the way he use to."Pretty girls like you shouldn't be so lonely." He started to drag me upstairs until someone had shouted "Leave her alone or I'll
kick your ass." Most of the people that were in the kitchen had left or looked at the three of us and left. He scoffed and said "Go ahead you and I both know you won't do shit." The guy in all
black grinned had him pinned against the wall with his fist ready to leave a mark on this guys face. I was taken back. I didn't comprehend why he has to make a scene by starting a fight.
How is it the people you thought you had no intentions of talking are the ones to save you?"If I see you having your hands on her again I won't bother to throw a
punch." he speaks in a gruff voice. He lets go of the guy and turns towards me. "Are you alright?" he asks in
worry. I don't have the courage to say 'I'm fine'. I just kept staring into his bright green eyes. He came
closer and observes me for what seems like an intercity and turns his feet to leave. Now my feet start to
follow his steps and my mouth shouts "Wait!" I can feel my heart skip a beat as he stops walking. "Thanks for that." He turns around to
face me and says "No problem." with a slight smile. I didn't know if I should give him my actual name or make up one but my mouth had already chosen. "I'm Skylar" I try to form some what of a smile
but it just ends up being a grin. "Michael" he says with a smile. A genuine smile that gives off the vibe of pure kindness
with a pair of soft eyes that somehow shine under this chaotic mess. Not with what had just happened but with the mess surrounded by us. He's not pale as most guys I've seen
before. You know the kind where it seems they haven't seen the sun in twenty years. He is attractive if I do say so myself. Or as Sam would say 'He's no Johnny Depp but I would love to taste him.' "Why'd you stop him?" I ask "He was just going to
take advantage of you." he says it as it couldn't be any more clearer than that. "That what people do." I say flatly " Your body showed the opposite but the eyes tell much more than words. Your eyes are like an open book." he says, I didn't know what to say but to tell myself to get away. Before he could say anything else I
started to rush my way towards the crowd of dancing bodies. "Sky wait!" I ignored his voice but he had caught me before I can pretend like nothing had happened. He was about to speak before I had yelled "Don't you ever call me that again!" over the music. I didn't look back to see his eyes once again.I can't stand to see eyes that give off any emotion I don't want to receive. He has my name at the corner of his mouth its better not to know more. I try to find Sam instead of letting that nickname bring back beautiful vivid memories.
