Thunder rumbled in the distance. Paws pounded on wet grass as cats raced trough the marshes. "Get her!"A gruff tom yowled to his group. "She's stolen from us way too many times!"He yowled into the darkness. A red she-cat darted through the trees. A dark, wet bundle hung from her jaws. 'They don't understand! I didn't steal that kit! He was taken by a fox! I tried to save him but I couldn't! The fox was too fast and now their trying to steal my daughter from me!'The she-cat thought, slipping on the grass. "Give us back our kit!"The lead tom snarled, charging at me. His dark eyes glowed with fury. The kit must have been his son. I dropped my daughter in a patch of moss before grabbing some and running. 'They'll take care of her. They must take care of their kits if they're chasing me like this. She won't survive the winter with me.' I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings until I felt the hard thunderpath beneath me and a large weight boring down upon me. 'Now I'll never see my daughter grow up!' I thought as the monster hit me and everything went dark.

"We lost her Westfeather."A dark tom named Woodjay, said to a pale tom. "No.....my son can't be gone."Westfeather choked out. He sank to the ground, shivering with grief. "I FOUND SOMETHING!"An orange tom, Blazepelt, yowled to the others. Westfeather ran over, WoodJay behind him. A dark bundle lay in a pile of moss. "That she-cat may have taken my son but, we've got her kit."
