Demi
My car got towed away because of an engine malfunction, so Wilmer drove us back. The entire way home, he held my hand and chatted about his work and random topics. It was nice, and felt normal... it felt like us. Eventually, I fell asleep, and the six hour drive felt like barely ten minutes. It felt like I had just closed my eyes when he was gently shaking me awake.
"Hey sleepyhead." He murmured, when I opened my eyes.
"Hi." I whispered, wincing at my raspy voice.
"C'mon." He held out his hand, while the other held a brown bag. "I stopped for sushi. You were knocked out cold."
Blushing, I took his hand and walked with him into the house, leaning into his side, exhausted. I went right for the couch, while he headed into the kitchen to get plates and drinks. My eyes were beginning to close, but he woke me again.
"You need to eat Dems."
Rolling my eyes I sat up and grabbed some chopsticks, popping a piece of sushi into my mouth. He chuckled and did the same, neither of us talking as we went through the meal pretty quickly. Then, I met his gaze and slowly chewed the fish, fighting the urge to laugh with my mouth full.
"That's oddly seductive."
That did it.
I giggled, the sound muffled and warped through the food in my mouth and I gulped it down before letting out a loud cackle, "You're so weird."
He shrugged and stood up, "You done?"
I nodded and stood up, helping him clear the plastic containers. We went into the kitchen and as he began to do the dishes, I walked up to his back and wrapped my arms around him, going up on my tip-toes to rest my chin on his shoulder.
"Let's leave those for tomorrow morning."
He turned slowly and examined my expression, "Did you have something planned?"
I shrugged and took his hands, gently tugging him away from the sink, "Maybe... I kind of wanted to talk to you." He followed me up the stairs and to the bedroom. "Get ready for bed." I murmured, smiling softly at him. Wilmer gave me a weird look but grabbed some pajamas from the dresser and pulled them on while I changed and did my nightly skin care routine. I stepped out and got under the covers next to him. "Okay."
He sat up next to me, "What did you want to talk about?"
I took a deep breath, "I don't want this whole thing to impact our relationship anymore. I want to start working back towards us."
Wilmer stroked my cheek, "Okay... So do I."
I smiled timidly, "I think we should start small... I mean I don't think we should go all in. I don't think I'm ready for that."
His eyes widened, "Wait are you talking about sex? Demi I don't want you to feel obligated because of me. I mean... I love you and I'm fine with waiting. I don't want you to feel pressured."
I shook my head, "No Wilmer I don't feel pressured. I want to... I want, you. I just want to be completely ready first."
"Okay." He said simply, hesitating slightly, "So what do you want me to do?"
I sighed, "I didn't think it would be this awkward..." Shifting the covers back, I got up and straddled his lap, wrapping my arms around his neck, "I want you to kiss me. Like, really kiss me. Not the way you do right now, but the way you used to. When you weren't afraid of breaking me."
Wilmer smiled a bit and leaned in, pressing his lips to mine gently. I kissed back, my hands twisting in his hair. It heated up, as Wilmer began to swipe his tongue along my lower lip. His hand rubbed down my back and it arched, pressing against his body. We broke away for air but I quickly leaned in again, moving my lips against his hungrily. He held me tighter in his arms and flipped me on my back, his lips not moving from mine as his hands roamed my body. Every inch of me was on fire as I gasped for air, his lips now moving in a burning line down my throat. I held his head as he came up again, kissing me slowly. We came back down from our passion as he gently moved his lips against mine. Finally, he pulled away and pressed his lips against mine one, two, three more times. As he pulled away for the last time I looked up into his soft brown eyes and bit my lip.
"I love you." I murmured blissfully.
He stroked my cheek, his eyes searching my face, "As I love you."
Leaning up, I kissed him again, loving the feeling of his lip on mine. My heart felt like it was exploding out of my chest as we just laid there, wrapped up in each other, kissing softly. Soon though, my exhaustion kicked in, and I was struggling to keep my eyes open.
"Go to sleep sweetheart."
I shook my head, "I don't want to."
He made a face, "Why?"
I snuggled deeper into his arms, "Because this is perfect. I don't want to leave this moment. I just..." I looked up at him, "I love you."
Wilmer smiled, "I love you too Demi... but you can fall asleep. Tomorrow we can have as many moments as you want."
