  They had to be fake.

  They just had to be.

There is no way on earth that the guy in front of me, Arron, has actually cat ears with a matching tail.

They are props. That's it! They are the type you get at a Halloween store on a Friday night for some costume party.

  But these, they moved.

There was dead silence between us. I was too scared to speak. I had to be dreaming. That or I was going insane.

Although I stood there with my hands out, still acting like I was holding the cup, my eyes red from never blinking, my mouth dry from being open. Arron didn't once look out of place.  He looked normal but also kinda scared that the cup had broke.

"You ok Y/n? Did you burn yourself or get cut?" He asked. But what I really focused on was the way his ears moved as he talked, almost as if they were real.

I couldn't find words. I reached out and grabbed them but they weren't right. But I found my way to stutter out some convincing words.

  "You-you have-ve ear-r-rs"

My voice didn't sound that goods. It was shaking and in a shocked tone. It came out a little wrong but I'm sure he gets it.

Did I mention he was in a Maroon 5 T-shirt? The one shirt that Josh wears to make me smile?

His tail was to the left of him and it was as black as his hair. It was like a halloween color.

"Ya. I thought you had noticed while taking care of me at my time of rest. Was I mistaken?" He asked tilting his head.

Time of rest? Does he mean when he was unconscious?

That when something happened that I never thought would ever happen in my life.

Arron, or the cat boy, started laughing. It was that kind of bad ass laugh that villains use before saying the super hero's are weak and defenseless.

He got to his feet and walked towards me.

Keeping his feet away from the glass and tea.

Me, still frozen in fear, watch him as he got closer. Still shocked and scared. I but my lip till the point were it bled.

He got closer, and I couldn't do shit about it.

We were now inches apart. Him staring down at me, just like before. His eyes so demanding and strong. They never once showed signs of weakness.

He took his index and his middle finger and stroked the side of my cheek with the back of them. They felt soft and converting but I was scared out of my mind.

"It's ok Y/n. Your fine, I'm not going to hurt you. You saved me life. I'm just a Neko, that's all."

His words were converting, like a mother speaking to her child. Some how, with his words, I stopped shaking.

Neko? Like those things in anime? We're Neko's really real.

"You need to sit, I know it's a lot to take in." He said going to my right side and putting his arm around me.

I nodded slowly and together we walked towards to couch.

"If you don't mind. Would you explain more?" I asked. Begging for answers.

"Us Neko's are a race the have lived for a long time, even before the human race was invented. We were created to turn into cats when ever we want to. But sadly we can never turn human fully. Once the humans dominated the earth, investing it with their huge life style, we went into hiding, knowing regular cats, or are cousins were already used for pets. But as the race continued, the Neko's turned on each other and started to hate. Selling each other, betraying, they did all this to be the lasts ones on earth. Some of us Neko's were captured and forced as pets. The humans, selfish like always, kept are secret so they could keep us as pets. Soon are race was only limited and we didn't rely on each other anymore. We stood for ourselves. I know this is scary but it shouldn't be, I'm no different then a human with cat like qualities."
