"Em... so... Do you want to play a game?" Toby ( wow Toby that doesn't sound awkward at all. ) asks me, running his hands through his messy hair.

I take my bottom lip between my teeth and chuckle, shrugging.

"Um, sure. What do you usually play?" I ponder about, picking at my nails and swinging my right foot.

"Well, I've been wanting to play this game called Amnesia lately. It's supposed to be really scary," he tells me, picking up his laptop and setting it on his lap.

"So, what do you say?"

I blink a couple of times before actually thinking about it. I try not to think on the negative side of things like I usually do, so I force myself to say okay.

He smiles genuinely and plugs in a pair of headphones into the side of his laptop, handing me one. He took the right and I took the left.

Toby opens a game named Amnesia: The Dark Descent and it takes a moment to show the start screen. He flashes me a comforting smile and presses New Game.

The beginning of the game has some talking in it, and it doesn't seem all that scary. But once Toby manages to make it further into the game, I feel goosebumps rise on my skin, and I guess Toby notices as well.

The reason I know? Well, Toby decides to place one of his hands on my knee and chuckle, shaking my leg gently. I release a lungful of air that I didn't even know I was holding, and relaxed slightly.

"This is creepy," I mumble, bringing my legs up and crossing them.

"It'll be creepier if you play," Toby taunts, smirking at me.

"I already told you, I'm not playing!" I protest, shaking my head, my curls waving around.

"Aw, come on! Just operate the mouse," he begins, frowning when I give him a look.

"Pleeaaaaase?" he pleas, puckering out his bottom lip and giving me puppy dog eyes.

I just chuckle and roll my eyes, shoving Toby's hand from the mouse.

"I just think you're scared to move the mouse," I tease, moving the mouse around, making him tense.

"Don't do that, you'll run into a monster!" Toby whines, nudging my shoulder, making the mouse spin and make the character turn around.

"Speak for yourself, Toby!" I squeal, spotting one of the monsters beginning to chase us.

"Do something!" I demand, hiding behind him and whimpering.

What am I doing?

I shake my head and crawl behind Toby, his back shielding me. His back flexes as he laughs and I unintentionally stare in awe. I blink my eyes while I peek over his shoulder, whispering to my self that everything is okay and asking if the coast is clear. He just nods and I reveal myself from my shelter and take back the mouse.

Toby denies it and tells me to switch places with him, that I'm irresponsible with the mouse. We have an argument about how I am not irresponsible. He is being a nuisance and stubborn, and he won't let me win.

I can play that game too, Toby.

I begin to poke at his sides and his eyes fly open.

"Don't go down that route, Vicki. Please don't," Toby desperately gasps, just by the lightest twitch of my fingers.
