Chapter Six: Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover

"So how did it go?" April asked smirking as soon as I approached them.

"I think it went pretty good. I mean he said something stupid of course, but at least he didn't protest on helping me." I said.

"Of course he wouldn't." She said once again smirking.

"Why that was so obvious?" She now raised an eyebrow at me, the smirk never leaving her lips "And what's with the smirk?" I said, starting getting annoyed.

"Oh you know, just the fact that now, I know for sure that he likes you back." She said simply.

"April for God's sake ju-"

"Don't even bother finish that sentence. I mean Plee-ase! The whole school has noticed the tension between you two. And trust me, is one of the good ones." winked Kate, who was now jumping in the conversation.

"Let me add." April interrupted "H-O-T." Her smirk now widening even more.

"Girls I'm sorry to brush it to you but there's no tension between us, especially the 'H-O-T' one." I mimicked April.

"Keep saying that to yourself." Aaron now interrupted "Trust me when I'm saying something is going on, and for starters I don't like it." he said and glanced over Jake and his friends, who by now have stop talking, and were watching us instead.

"Ugh! Why is everyone saying stuff like that today?" I asked while waving my hands in the air.

"You know just him teasing you for the last week nonstop, you stumbling all the time on him, also you dressed up for scho-" Kate started saying but I interrupted her for once more.

"Kate you're not helping" and then I turned to Aaron who was watching amusing at us  "As for you, I'll be sure to inform you when anything happens."

"Good plan, cause if you want to continue having me as your friend you should know better than to keep things from me." He said, like he was waiting for my confession the same instant.

"Even though, that's something I don't plan on doing anytime soon, because I'm for the fifth time telling you that nothing is going on." I added in order to make him understand that I wasn't referring to any time now.

"Whatever you say doll." He wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

Why is that everyone keep assuming things? Even Kate! They're making the smallest thing seems like it's the end of the world. I mean yeah, I have admitted a lot of times that he's hot, but nothing more. It's those crazy female hormones that take the blame, even for that confession.

"So are we gonna stand here all day?" I asked wanting to change the subject.

"Trying to change the subject, aren't we?" April asked me, again smirking.

"For God's sake drop the whole smirking thing! It pisses me off!" I paused but when I saw she had ready her come back I quickly added "And no I’m not. I'm just saying that the bell rings in like." I paused in order to check my phone and then continued "five minutes, and I think we should head to class." I shrugged.

"Okay let's go then, see you around girls." Aaron waived them off, dragging me into the school along with him, while the other two made their way straight for the field.

"Where are we going?"

“To kick some asses with our kick ass project in physics. What else?" Aaron replayed grinning, his hand still around me.

"Right." I said, forgetting completely about how we had our first period together.

By then we were passing the bad boys who were still leaning into that brick wall, they have been leaning moments before.
