Chapter Two: The Bad Beginning
"I'm home!" I shouted as I threw my bag on the floor.
"Hey baby girl! How was your day?" dad asked me from the kitchen as I threw over my shoes.
"Well it was...interesting I guess.." I shrugged
"Okay that's good to know. Any new boys I need to take care of?"
"Daaad! That is your first question every year!!"
"It's not my fault your school is full of teenagers with crazy hormones, who are dying to discover everything and everyone. You're my baby girl after all!" he smiled to me.
"You're crazy!" I joked.
"Plus, it's not my first question...it's my second!"
"Haha ok dad, whatever you say." it was my turn to smile now. "So I was wondering... can April come over today?" I asked with the same smile on my face. Not that he would say no, but a little charm never hurt anyone.
"You do remember that you're going to babysit your brother tonight right?" Oh shit!
"Obviously that's why I sled if she could come here. And yeah I do remember, she will help." I told him then.
"Fine with me then! Now come over here and help me set the table."
After dinner my dad had to go to a meeting or something, so I decided to text April and tell her to come over.
After my little chat with the boys earlier today, I was more than curious to find out what really got into her that morning.
Of course I also wanted to see if she indeed was interested in Blake or if it was just her being in a bad mood. So I wasted no time in texting her.

After fifteen minutes or so, I heard my door bell ring.
"Hey there!" she greeted me smiling.
"Come in." I said while opening the door a bit further.
"So...what happened so suddenly that you wanted to meet up?" she asked pulling of the innocent card.
"Oh you don't know?" I asked her sarcastically.
"I may or may not have an idea about it..." she said now blushing a bit.
"TELL ME THEN!"
"Okay ju-just don't make a big deal out of it... okay?"
"It depends... go on!"
"Well I don't know how else to say it so I'm just gonna blurt it out..."
"You're killing me with all the waiting! Just tell me already!"
"FINE! I just don't like the idea of him dating someone."
"OH MY GOD! So you do like him after all!" I almost screamed
"Well scream it to the world will ya?"
"You won't even going to deny that?" I asked surprised.
"Why would I do that? Of course I like him, it's obvious enough! Even a blind man could have noticed...have you seen his smile?"
"Well actually no-one could have guessed...not before today's events anyway."
"Are you kidding me? It's so obvious. From the way I look at him, to the way I laugh at his jokes even when they aren't funny!"
