The Future Bride ; The Playful Prank

"What does it have to do with being his son!" 

"Dont let anger take over you Chris. You know that every Pureblood has the characteristics of an elder. And you had your fathers characteristics. Marcus(Chris' dad) knew how to take care of everything and even to his people. He was a king loved by every vampire and human. I hope you undertand that well, Prince Chris."

I calmed down a bit after what Nora said. "If I am to be king, I need to have a queen.. And I dont think Lorraine would cooperate." 

"Lorraine?" Nora asked.

"My fiance. It was kept a secret from the kingdom because I wasnt sure if she was a good candidate to be queen. That's why I enrolled to "that" school where I can find one."

"I hope you choose well. And if Eleanor calms down and accepts everything, she might be a candidate since she too is a princess." Nora went to the kitchen to get some tea.

"She might.. or not.." I whispered at the "not" part.

"And why is that?" Nora looked at me.

"Did you see the how she reacted when I told her she was a vampire? She didnt believe it ! She wanted to stay as a fragile, little human." I got a bit angry.

"She isnt that fragile. She's almost at that age. An age where a Pureblood is at its strongest. The Debut." Nora poured some tea and gave me and we drank. Blood isnt the only food we drink and we can also eat human food.

"Yeah. The Debut must be celebrated at the castle in the vampire kingdom. If she still doesnt believe it then I dont know what to do with her powers if she goes out of control."

"Then I would step in."

"Then i'll leave it to you." I winked at Nora.

and Nora said the most weirdest thing a parent could ever say to someone she doesnt know very well.

"If you stay with her, she might fall in love with you. If that happens, I leave her to you." She winked back.

I was shocked that a MOTHER would say that to me,  a complete stranger. well. not completely but even so.

"why can you entrust your daughter to me so easily even if you dont know me well?" i asked Nora.

"well, firstly, you are HIS son. and you two are like father like son. so, i think i can entrust my daughter to you better than any other guy out there. and secondly, she can have a better future with you because you are a prince. and thirdly, youre the only vampire so far whos this hunkyy!"  nora said jokingly at the last part.

"oh.. wait WHAT?!  i understan the first part but second? did you know that if  Eleanor becomes the future QUEEN of the vampire kingdom, she might be targetted by other kingdoms!"

"but you'll be there to protect her, right?" nora said assuringly.

"well. we dont even know if she likes me or not!" trying to change the topic..

"she will." nora assured me.

"how about my feelings?"

"youll like her soon enough. she ha that charm that guys go crazy over"

i rolled my eyes and said "oh really?"

"yes, really."

everytime nora would answer my questions, she would always be so sure, like she knows what shes saying.

- THE NEXT DAY-

ELEANORS POV

*birds chirping

i stretched my arms and blinked a lot until my vision become clear.

then a husky, dreamy voice totally woke me up.

"Good Morning Beautiful"

i saw Chris sitting by the window, smiling.

i was totally shocked by his greeting.

then his smiled turned into a smirk, "hey, if you dont get up real soon, you might be late."

i looked at my clock, 7:45 am.

NO. NO. NO. NOOOOO!!

15 minutes left til school starts.

"im goin to be sooooo late!"

i ran downstairs, put some sliced bread into the toaster and brushed my teeth.

My mom went out her room, "Eleanor. dear, why are you so up so early?", my mom, rubbing her eyes and yawned.

"what do you mean?" i stopped what i was doing and took out the toast.

"well. its still 6 AM. why are you in such a hurry?"

then Chris went down, holding his laughter.

i glared at Chris, "why i otta..", forming

a fist, ready to punch.

"what? i was just playing with you" Chris smirked and went to lay down on the sofa.
